Narinder is right. It is respect for one’s parents and family to do household chores. It is also teaching them responsibility.

Narinder listened to what Kerry had to say. When it was Narinder's turn Kerry could barely wait to interrupt and did so throughout. If Narinder had to raise her voice, it's no wonder.

Yup! Pay them to do their chores. Then take 35% of it back, so they get used to being fleeced by the Govt. And don't forget to "adjust for inflation". (The hidden tax caused by printing more money out of thin air.)

Really depends om the age of the child because WHERE ELSE can they earn money if they cannot do it earning chores? Since I think the minimum age a place would employ someone is... 13 maybe? And that's not many places even then. I would say there are basic chores that are to be done no matter what. But there was extra ones that can earn money. That doesn't equal entitled. That means they're willing to earn extra.

Children should have chores then get an allowance which will teach them to budget. Kids today are entitled, lazy and heartless.

not everything should result to pay unless they are a certain age eg. pocket money when your 12/13. As a young teacher this is not helping children of today who are already exceptionally lazy and want everything handed to them + a perfect life with no labour, sacrifice or hard work. People should learn how to obey instructions without incentives. It's called having good upbringing in all circumstances. I'm glad I was disciplined from my parents and grandparents and didn't get paid to do stuff I was suppose to do.

£40 p/m? I used to get a fiver allowance all through my teens... if I was lucky! 😅 Edit- Narinda always resorts to raising her voice to try & win the argument. It's so childish & puts me off from watching anything she's involved in.

I see what narinder is trying to say, but she’s so scathing it just sounds like “agree with me or you’re wrong” I don’t think children are horrible people because they get paid for chores, just possibly a little less inclined to do low paying jobs, but having aspirations is not a bad thing and understanding that work pays as well as knowing how to work helps you achieve aspirations. All in all I just think this isn’t a debate it’s a personal choice and no one should be criticising others for their choice on this matter as it’s no business of anyone else’s.

Pleade keep Narinder off the show, she really is what's wrong with society. Right or wrong she just raises her voice and to try to shut others down.

I completely agree. I wouldn’t work or do anything for 1 minute unless I was being paid, and I will never ever teach my kids that you work for free. If they work or help out with house work they will be rewarded with money to show them that’s how the world works. Nothing entitled about it at all

You should then charge them a percentage of what you give them for food and utilities so they understand that nothing in life is free

@@TheSwayzeTrain once they start earning money from a job, then most children do pay a weekly ‘keep’ which is then teaching them that lesson. However if a kid is not earning money how’s that possible ?

@BP-of5cp
@BP-of5cp 5 ай бұрын
@@peakyblunder I agree. Kids cleaning up after themselves isn't them doing a job, it's a basic part of human development from a baby who needs full care into an adult who takes care of themselves. I'd say if I'm asking for extra favours like going down the shop I'd give a little extra so they can get something to treat themselves or things like cleaning the car then a little cash it's ok. But the teenagers can wash up their plates and clean their room and fold their clothes. It's basic self care not a job and they don't get paid for that!
@BP-of5cp
@BP-of5cp 5 ай бұрын
@@IloveNavaMauyes, by finding something they're passionate about, studying hard and getting that job they love! Like I said cleaning after themselves is self care and a basic life skill. In nurseries toddlers between 2 and 4 years old have an allocated time of the day called 'tidy up time ' where they pick up the toys they played with. If toddlers can get on with it without getting paid then a teenager can clean their room.
