I've never seen a railroad crossing like that before I've seen lots of railroad crossings in the US but this one looks wicked cool

It seems kind of short and small... they should have made it taller.. Our Railroad crossings here in US are massive when you stand up to it

I guess it reflects the attitude of drivers in a country. Unfortunately in some countries it involves installing a barrier that pops up from the ground, manning gated crossings, etc.

Most Germans stop at a crossing, so there's no need for giant signals and signs ^^ Also, the accoustic warning signal can't really be heard in a car when the windows aren't open, so it's mostly just there for pedestrians and bikers.

@@ricohallo22 that is a mistake, i thought he/she mean "english" because "Englisch" is the german word, i must know it, i LIFE in germany; i scentes... SATZ for example: 'Ich mag Züge' and that means: 'I ... *love* trains' I DONT KNOW THE TRANSLATE FOR "mag" BUT LOVE IS 'Liebe' OK?!? sorry there
