This video is very true, I’ve seen it firsthand for myself. It’s much more dramatic when seen in person on the ground. It doesn’t matter whether you deny the science however the consequences may ultimately be difficult to live with.

Yeah. I´ve seen it also in the Alps happening, at one of the Northeastern Glaciers. The changes every year can be seen if you look closely, and every Year the Glacier looses over 1,5 metres in thickness. Sad but true.

Doesn't matter. Living with modern technlogy and a wild climate still beats living pre indutrial era with a stable climate. People don't have a clue. This isn't a tradgedy, it is something of the most exiting and interesting events of our time.

It would seem that the massive glacier sighted by Bering and also the Vancouver expedition in the 1700’s that had completely melted by the time John Muir visited in 1888 doesn’t fit the narrative so it wasn’t mentioned. The climate has never stopped changing.
@tbeck
@tbeck Жыл бұрын
And yet it is changing at an incredibly fast pace right now. "The climate has always been changing" is not a valid argument against man-induced climate change. Human activity is exponentially increasing the rate as which these things happen. Ignorance must be bliss, because this is not a blissful discussion

I lived in Alaska for years. It breaks me to see this happening. I used to "collect" glaciers around the state and visited many. Glacial loss (Mendenhall) will remove the water supply from Juneau. The only glacier that is advancing (for now) is the Matanuska Glacier near Palmer,. Global warming is changing the Earth forever. (sighs)
@davidaustin6962
@davidaustin6962 4 жыл бұрын
It's not advancing ... it's a valley glacier so it moves at 1ft/year, but is calving at that same rate, and thinning very rapidly. And the beautiful ice caves and crevices are growing at an unprecedented rate, at the expense of total ice mass.

@escorpiuser Your comment leads me perplexed. On one hand I'm thinking you're just being flippant and tongue in cheek with your comment. Kudos! 😂 On the other hand, and perhaps this is probably closer to reality, you're an idiot that will believe anything somebody with PhD behind their name tells you, and is totally devoid of any common sense or historical perspective when it comes to earth's changing climate. The Earth has been warming for hundreds of years what you're seeing in the video is a natural occurrence. If you want to know what affects the climate of this planet look up. See the big yellow ball in the sky? Yes, the Sun! That is what causes the majority of climactic changes and variations in weather on our planet. The radiational inflections from our Star, in conjunction with magnetic pull from Hit and the planets in our solar system, affect everything on our planet! In closing, as Ben Franklin said, "It is better to have common sense with no education, then education with no common sense." So you got to ask yourself, am I up for a little research and the application of critical thinking in order to bring myself to a more logical conclusion on this topic, or am I just going to be a typical dumbass sheeple? It's up to you as to whether you're going to come out of the darkness or or continue to be a mushroom with b******* up to your neck! Cheers!
