A good way to counter Aircraft Carriers in

This is obviously not the best example as this gameplay was before the rework but the principles are still the same; Create AA bubbles, run AA builds and pay attention to attack angles. I will try to have a better video with more in depth break downs.

Ya know, now that I think about it, because I swapped my Bismarck build to a Hybrid Secondary/Tank Build upon buying the AL Bismarck Commander, I could pull a big brain move by running the first AA Perk, now that carriers are busted

The main problem rn with cv's is not the dmg they are dealing that is a good thing but the restoration time. Increasing the restoration time to somewhere between 90-120 seconds should bring the majority of cv's back into line while still keeping a bulk of their current dmg.

At this point it's not even the carriers that are making me not want to play. I have had the absolute worst teammates ever since the update and I really dont understand how everyone is this braindead

Adjusting your play styles is not the end of the world. Its a free to play game just chill. The fact you can't just depend on cv to spot while you hide in the back is better for the game experience. So tried of you back line campers.

@@whereruaaron "you" was meant in a general use of the word. Only to describe those that do it an cry that they may actually have to spot in their CC an dd. I feel a lot of CC in smoke an BB's behind islands want others to not enjoy there game an just spot so they can stay in there camp site an fire from 18km plus away.

@@whereruaaron Aircraft carriers are the most powerful ship in the navy and they relegated all other ships. There's a lot of ego with cruiser and battleship players that feel they should be the most dominant dpms. Time to adapt and change.

My AA builds exceed my expectations. I never play vs any CVs when I use these.

Yes I take the California out with the AA module for extra range absolutely shreds planes, CV captains go away after one pass.

Had a game today with a Lexington on the enemy team i was in a Yorck which surprisingly has pretty decent aa and with me on the flank was a Belfast and a Veneto. Cv came for our side first stayed by our bb the Belfast smoked us so we got cover for the first of Lexington's torps i had sonar and a fighter in the air shopt down 5 of his planes before he even made a second attack run. The Lex tried to sink our Veneto all game and thankfully our team on tbe other side kf the map and in middle with suppprt from our cv allowed us to push and eventually get close enough to the Lex and sink her wining is the game as all that was on our flank was an Amalfi and enemies that came in piece meal as they had no crusier support because we chased away the Amalfi with dmg. The purpose of AA is not to completely eliminate tje ability for the cv to strike but instead reduce how many times they can attack you with a single squadron.

A good counter is to just pause the game for some time. WG will realize the players drop and react.

I'm enjoying this update and yes I'm a battleship main myself plus now I'm also playing carriers a bit more and remember once again that the game is not broken, the playerbase is.

@@whereruaaron Oh yes I have but the biggest disappointment is that the Clear Skies medal was moved to 40 kills instead of 20 or 25 that was before and been encountering more passive players instead of pro players and staying together is the key and I do have a recent vid with the Massachusetts in my channel to prove it and still seeing players waisting their fighter planes for spotting ships only for them to get disappointed. I've been playing the drunken brawling battleships event and still seeing players using the fighter plane trying to spot me and I just couldn't help but laugh at them.

@@whereruaaron One more thing, since they increased the volume of planes in the sky then they should had removed the shield consumable from the high tier planes IMO but if WG decided to make some adjustments later on then I would start by removing the shield consumable first then it's either a little nerf to the plane health once more or to the restoration time but not too much because all I want from the carriers when I use them is to at least score a bit more hits than usual plus ships with excellent AA defense really thrive out of this and the Provincien is clearly making the statement even on that vid I have with the Massachusetts the teammate that was sailing with me got the Clear Skies medal so go figure.

@@FLYBOY409I think the shield is ok. sometimes I’m not paying attention to enemy planes while I’m lining up a drop and I get surprised by fighters and melt my squadron.

@@FLYBOY409remember the shield skill has only 2 uses (3 with fully packed) per plane type and the cd time is quite long for the short uptime.

@@whereruaaron and so where are all of the videos of wesers, serovs, etc doing crazy damage numbers and why is it you all keep posting tier 7 and legendary? And just because the aircraft carrier does more damage on average, doesnt mean that is a bad thing. The experience people are most likely to have is not at legendary tier since you know... It takes actual months to get any ships, so I'd argue my experience at normal tiers holds more water than people freaking out about high tier carriers. Change THOSE carriers, leave the rest of the changes except fuel and top speed and restorations times. They halved the damage of carriers, idk what more you want

@@whereruaaron No, they've been slowly killing this game for me for a while. Nerfing things like Master Mechanic and Will to Rebuild. buffing destroyers by not letting them be hard spotted by carriers. Destroyers concealment already being too good as is, no longer being able to spot with catapult fighters, and now carriers being this powerful and AA being essentially pointless because we can never de-plane a carrier anymore. Carriers should be getting intel that the whole team can use, now they get less intel we can use. Destroyers should be easy to spot but hard to kill because of their size and maneuverability. I don't care about how CV players try to justify this update. The game has been getting worse for months. It's not nearly as fun as it once was.
