After much anticipation, the new FMS FCX18 1/18 scale Chevy K10 has arrived! This ready to run RC model combines a great looking Chevy K10 hardbody with the capable and feature packed FCX18 chassis. The result, as expected is a solid crawler that looks and performs great. In today's video I'll be doing a full unboxing and overview of this new release.

Two reviews in one week? FMS has got me spoiled over here with 2 awesome new square bodies. They really did a great with both the FCX18 and FCX10. I know a lot of what I show on this channel is custom, 3D printed, one off builds, but for those new to the hobby or looking for a RTR model, FMS makes some great products. I've had the first version it's okay but the second one being two speed and portal axels ditch those military street tires and screw springs up a little and I use it to pull my Traxxas out of the Mudd..

Thanks for a very nice review of this new FMS release. I was just wondering why they didn't put a full interior and went wiht tinted windows instead? Was it becaus eof the new chassis? Or they just FMS cheaped out and wanted to save some bucks? What is your opinion?..... Once again, we all foolwoing you, appreciate your viewings

They’ll probably sell it separately like for the fcx18 lc80 like 10 bucks I paid for mine on fms site

Thank you. Honestly keeping cost down could certainly be the case, however the old interior/front inner fenders will not fit the new FCX18 chassis without cutting. They couldn't just carry those parts over. A little unfortunate but it is what it is.

Hoping for the Hilux or a 4x4 version of the Chevy Apache. 🤞 Updated K5 Blazer would be cool too.

Ok, I have the old version and I'm very happy! 👍 Yes, sometimes the car looks a bit bumpy, but I think the clear windows and the inlay in which you can store a figure are very nice! 🤪 With its higher chassis, the new version seems more like a defiant reaction, a response, to the TRX4m. But why should I buy a car from FMS in 1/18 scale when it looks like a model from Traxxas and I know from Traxxas how robust the cars are compared to cars from other manufacturers?!?!? 🤔 The only reason could be that the cars from other manufacturers, from e.g. B. from FMS look better! 🤘 And what if that's no longer the case?!? 🤔 From my point of view, FMS has made a fool of itself with the revision! 🫣

I'm massively disappointed in FMS! The blacked out windows cheaply trying to hide missing interior pieces they skimped on and the poorly designed shock mounts sticking up through the bed and the obviously incorrect portal axle design that looks nothing like the trucks real axles ruins everything that was so scale and realistic about the original model everyone loved so much. I almost bought the new one until I saw these problems. As soon as I saw they discontinued the good one I ordered the last one in stock from DixielandRC because they weren't price gouging the last of their stock like others. Now I have two red K10s and a Glacier and I certainly won't be buying the version with holes in the bed and blacked out glass masking a missing interior.
