Maybe soon all the people who were previous picking up Anarchys for cheap to try will be grabbing these (or maybe the echo I guess) and not being turned off by a horrible first boot experience. Good shit.

I dont really get why they chose a riveted frame assembly. Post ufs salomans were just as light and responsive as the pre ufs versions and they had skates for like £70. This is a bit of a false economy because if you outgrow a boot or wear out a frame or soul plate, you have to buy an entire assembly. And £200 isnt even cheap. And why would a first time buyer care about the shops margins? If the skate costs less to make, they would want to pay less for the skate. If im spending £200 on a skate, i want £200 worth of skate, not an inferior product and a big tip to the shop. If its a razors shell why not just buy the razors cults for £170? Usd and roces also have skates under £200. Baffling price point. The only way this product makes sense is if its sold for £100 in argos and sports direct.

I'm afraid I have to agree. I remeber watching the live where these were revealed and immediately losing all interest once the riveted soul frame was mentioned. In my opinion less customizability = less interesting. I'm rocking Razors SL rn, which at full market price are, like, what? $250? They basically cost the same. But I've been able to play around with and change various parts to experiment with what I like. That's not even mentioning that I got mine on sale for ~$170. There are a bunch of other options for entry-level skates that can be found for below $200 and allow for customizability. Some have stated that the soul frame means less maintenance, which I guess is techinically true, but if you have a solid set-up your only regular maintenance will be rotating wheels... The skates are light, which is okay, but again feels like a moot point. I feel like people adjust to their skate's weight relatively quickly...

@@nubbiewubbie7285 I'm surprised at the amount of people upset that it's a one piece when Aeons have been around forever. Customization is not always a great thing. The less decisions to have to make, the better IMO.

I have a couple pairs of skates that i like, but I'd certainly be down to try a riveted soul frame for the rigidity. As long as I liked the frame and could fit the boot, at least haha. Good on them for pushing new ideas, likewise to Loco for having the same idea as well. I really like the idea of a soulframe, and it's not like you can't drill out mounting for other kits if thats what you want.

Did I hear correctly… a riveted frame?? That is ironic for a frame company. I feel like even for a beginner, that still would be a deal breaker.
@TomMoyse6 ай бұрын
Soul frame which is riveted - allows it to be lighter weight, more responsive and less maintenance which is ideal for a beginner. Not sure that is ironic for a frame company really, it provides a solution for a market

@@TomMoyse I’m confused cause u said non UFS. I can understand riveting the soul plates. But if the frames are also not removable, that’s not a good move imo.

@@JustAnotherBlader non ufs correct. They created a soul frame and then riveted that to the skate. It’s make it lighter and more responsive. It also means lower maintenance, so less to think about for a beginner. It’s smart

Better margins for shops which is massive. A lighter, more responsive, lower maintenance skate, which based on their experience with customers is what they want.
