Glad you mentioned the door strap 'disintegration' click. Until now, the only reason I have had to remove the door card. Passenger door mirror next (previous owner glued it into folded out position)- which is why I'm watching this video.

Same procedure with rear door? My window can go down electrically but doesn't go up anymore. It stays temporarily in place with a wedge. I think the plastic piece connected with the cable broke down so I'll have to open it

Very similar @Ciupremo only a few screws in similar places and then the clips around the edge.

Hi. When you were undoing the screws under the armrest, you appeared to use an allen key, then a screwdriver. I couldn't quite see whey that was? Thanks!

If you look under the armrest on the door you will see the holes for the Allen screws.

Hi, thanks, very useful. Cheeky, somewhat unrelated question: do you have any experience of or hints and tips regarding the internal trim attached to the tailgate? I can’t see any screws. I’m trying to get access to the tailgate mechanism because the manual release has failed. I’ve opened the boot using a cigarette lighter booster for the central locking but for completeness I’d like to fix the manual tailgate release too. Cheers.

Hi, How do you adjust the doors on the Audi A2 so that the left front and left rear doors line up together ?

It depends on how badly aligned they are but you can make adjustments at the door latch. Simply undo the bolts and move it around a little and should move the door slightly when closed.

Hardly any soundproofing inside the door? room for improvement, it's supposed to be a small but premium car.

Certainly plenty of room for Dynamat. I would suggest that there were some premium features but after taking quite a few to pieces it wasn't that premium in overall basic design (e.g. clips and fittings), just standard VAG.

Thanks for the video, I'm replacing my passenger wing mirror soon this will help so much, do you know where would that mirror cable lead to? Since the controls are on the driver side

Hi Sir, the cable should lead to the motor/controller in the passenger side door also, so the process should be the same in terms of unhooking it. You should be good though just take it easy and be prepared with some spare clips as they break quite easily especially in the cold! If you go on www.a2oc.net then someone will have some for sale cheap (rather than pay more expensive prices for new ones). Look for A2Steve (username on the forum)
