For Obitsu effects, they're strange. On eBay and the they go for upwards of $40 for the basic stuff. HOWEVER, if you order from AmiAmi, HLJ, Hobby Search, and even sellers on Amazon.jp that ship to the US, you can get them for cheap. ONLY order these directly from Japan or from other collectors. Here's a link to the search for Obitsu effects on Amazon.jp. If you search through some of the sellers that are listed, some will ship to the US with no hassle and you don't need a middleman bit.ly/ObitsuAJP

Theese effects parts are Entirely too expensive. 20-30-40$ for tiny pieces of plastic. I'll just make my own with hot glue then color

I agree; I’ve wanted to ask for the Tamashii Flame or Lightning effects for years as like a birthday or Christmas present, but on the after market now they can be almost as expensive as a figure itself! Kinda ridiculous, especially since I feel Bandai is pretty ok at pricing.

My favorite effect is the energy aura. It’s literally the most basic thing but they just look good with a variety of figures. I also think they’ve made like 3 different colors you can get normally (yellow, blue, red) and probably more, it just stinks that they’re hard to find both at a good price and an honest retailer.

#favoriteEffectPart i could see some of these working for bionicle figures too. like using the black ball thing for a makuta's shadow blast, or the dust cloud for pohatu or mocs wearing a kakama :)

Great review Steven, loved seeing a quick breakdown of the different brands. #favouriteEffectPart My own favourite effects are all water based. I collect a lot of water Pokémon and kind of have a Cerulean gym setup going on. I have the Tamashii blue wave effects which are pretty common. But I've also been able to get my hands on some of the splash effects from the Kancolle nendoroids: Amatsukaze, Hiei (my fav) and I-401.

Great review. I am hopelessly addicted to these things. Another great source for different and useful effects parts I'd the Bandai Super Robot Chogokin. (SRC) line. A lot of them come with one, and there were a number of "preorder bonus" parts issued along with the first runs of figures that can be found for sale alone. They are all unique molds but they integrate well with the Tamashii parts.

#favouriteeffectpart the flame effect so far, I have em' both and have used them in so many figures, from battles as background destructions along with rubble, to nintendo's bowser using a wrist flame effect on his mouth same on my charizard, also on my myth cloths and right now on my Hikaru figure, using all flame effects on her summoning fire around her readging an attack. I dont own a lot mainly the very first ones that came out, I do want to get them all eventually

I recently got some figure rise standard dbz model kits with kamehameha effect pieces, and I started using that as a Godzilla atomic beam and it works so well, thanks for the tips! 😀👍

Favorite Effect. Mine would have to be the Tamashii effect lightning. Because for me out of all the effects I own I actually have come up with a lot ideas for photos with those effects. This is a very informative video, well done! I also would like to say thanks for the warning about the bootlegs at the end of the video. I'll be avoiding those since I really don't want to support or collect any bootlegs.

+Super Mariozilla Awesome, glad you liked it! I like the lightning effect as well, but actually I find it's... Difficulty to be a con; I can't get some of my intended shots with the attachment parts because they're a bit too hard of plastic. But for the bootlegs, I completely agree. I just have the ones I do because I have specific uses for them and Bandai/other company has yet to deliver. Other than that, I don't support itm

I little use transformers blast effects but i lost the big ones but have two little ones that attach to the guns of them but i use them to look like one of my action figures launched a small blast.

Pro-tip: You can use hot glue and a paperclip to make a beam (or fire) affect that's what I used for my my figures (for example I used this technique for my final wars playmates goji)

@@pantherproductions4027 the original effect part from Tamashii Nations is very old, older than this video, and possibly rather expensive. The one I have is good quality tho and still gets used to this day! Hope it helps.

If you don’t have a lot I bet that they might go cheap on eBay now if it’s “Cheap” Maybe a couple of beams could go for like fifteen bucks. Just search for cheap stuff if you want or a specific one.
