Plus, what a performance! No 'lean and hungry look' here - full, rich, sound, and no element ever losing sight of its purpose and slipping into mush. Lovely, that, at the end, it gets the clap it so richly deserves!

20:00 The theme returns 'almost apologetically' - like the trombones at a corresponding - well, similar - point in the finale of the ninth - 'er, yes, this is the fanfare... Er, sorry chaps, as you were!'
