Так что можно считать, что эта песня была создана заново, и создана шедеврально! Вряд ли кто-то теперь сможет забабахать кавер лучше и интереснее.

Впервые услышал эту композицию в 90-м, когда был в рейсе на рыболовном траулере. Место промысла находилось в антарктических водах, в суровых краях. И когда посмотрел "Crying in the rain" (в кают-компании как раз проигрывали видеокассету с клипами MTV), то она мне запомнилась на всю жизнь. Как-то всё срослось - и здешний климат, и голоса, и раскаты грома... А ещё ностальгия, конечно.

I remember buying this album (on cassette) just before we deployed to the Gulf in 90-91. I'd play this song first to help me sleep. Took me a while to remember the name, so after a few failed google searches, I came across this video and as soon as I heard the rain and thunder in the opening, I was back in Saudi Arabia. Good and bad memories without question. Thanks for posting and carrying me through some of the worst times.

Morten Harket voice is really incredible, you can immediatelly feel the pain and the sadness in his voice. He is not only singing but telling us a sad story. I think this version is better than Everly Brothers.

I like both versions about as much, both are perfect the way they are. The Everly Brothers obviously also liked the cover and presented a-ha with two guitars by them.

I was just a little girl when I met my father and I'm so grateful to him.😢 I remember the details so much. I got goosebumps, I fell in love with the piano and the thunder, and I thought: "he's listening to that beautiful music again". It's... It reminds me a lot of my childhood, when I saw him watching the clip. It's impossible for me not to remember him... I'm 20 and I will always love this incredible band.

Мне почти 36, замыленная жизнь в детях и постоянном движении для семьи. . Слушая музыку, которая меня вдохновляла в юности, я поняла то, что мне хочется снова жить как прежде, с эмоциями и чувствами теми, что были много лет назад.
