Group 2: perfectly resonates. I’m becoming an empty nester and it’s difficult to step out of that role and into” my own” life . I’m stepping out of lifelong defined roles and expectations . My upbringing was overbearing with strict patriarchal roles and I’ve always quietly rebelled and broke those norms but it’s left a strict inner monologue I have to balance ;however, I have definitely not transferred those ideals to my children .
