My daughter bought a fully restored Victorian house on Staten Island 3 years ago, it is gorgeous....the molding. And stair ways were beautifully restored, every thing ....except the kitchen.....new kitchen, custom cabinets, granite counter tops....she had the dining room furniture custom made in amish country...2 of the bedrooms are custom made.....the house is so her....most people want new houses, she has always loved antique shopping.....

Apparently the wife of the owner is said to roam the halls,when the place was a restaurant workers who used one of the rooms up stairs to rest up were said to have woken with a women in period clothing just staring at them,they also felt they were being watched,things would be moved,and noises could be heard...this house was on the programme - Haunted

Anyone who grew up on SI knows about the Kreischer Mansion. It's supposed to be one of (if not the most) haunted houses in all of New York. No one who moves in lasts for long. I'd love to be able to spend one night there.

Very nice house but far from a "mansion" at 3300 sq ft. I'm in my parents home, an old Victorian circa 1883, and it comes in at almost 4400 sq ft. There's 5 full baths, 2 half baths, a gazillion bdrms and I even have a few ghosts knocking around. After 42 yrs I'm finally leaving our family home for a 2 bdrm, 1 bath. Yay!

I love older homes because they are built to last. My cousin bought an older 1920 home and the wood is gorgeous. I feel a house being haunted it’s in someone’s mind.

I was disappointed in this video as it does not live up to its title. This was not a "haunted house" story at all. Although the history was interesting, and I very much enjoyed the interview with the old man (and would like to see more)…...this home, it's history, and the story of the hauntings deserves a much longer, professionally done video. It could be exorcized just to be sure, then what a lovely home it could be fixed up keeping it with the rich design it so desires. The grounds could be done over with flowers and fountains or at least one large one. Gardens etc. So much If someone had money and the desire to at least give this home a try. But at first, it would be best to go in to study the spirits if there are any here now, and do exoricism if necessary. People do this kind of thing, if the person planning to own it, cannot do it themselves. This truly is in a great location and it would be so quiet to live there. Wonderful place for an author, or artistic people. People who could bring joy and love back to it. This home has so much to offer a fine family, one with money to save it.

Trust me I did moving jobs around this area of this house and trust me at night you feel presents of like sombody looking at you no lie its creepy at night …..
