When the Wesley's met the Moravians, is when it all changed! Moravians date their beginnings back to the Hussites. Hussites were 100 years before Luther. A major influence on Luther as well! As God said to Elijah, I have 7000 believers. So, never think that God can't protecxt the Truth. God is truely wonderful and glorious!!

They were primarily converted to holy practice by Thomas a Kempis, founder of lay brothers in Catholic late Middle Ages and the Divine Office (liturgy of the hours). Their heart was converted by a simple faith added to this. You were confused: Yes John Wesley was moved by a simple view of Jesus' power to save, but in longer practice, he saw that people can fall away and need to stay faithful in belief and work in life (not the "works" St Paul says are useless, which are the old covenantal methods of Hebraism): Yes Jesus' promises are by him alone, and through our faithfulness in life and belief. But in practice, we get the promises fulfilled through our heart and life's work faithfully well lived, not as mere works. Luther willfully misunderstood and tried to throw out the whole book of James, ignore the "work out my salvation in fear and trembling" of St Paul. But it was where it was stated most plainly what was meant. (And intercessory prayers with the saints, especially Jesus' precious mother, and assistance from angels, is not idolatry, any more than loving and asking for prayers on Earth are.)

@@clarekuehn4372 Yes I agree with you that faith without works is dead , It should change the person that we are loving and kind and serving others it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re starting a big mission and feeding people and clothing people but in your own life you do those things you’re serving God in your own life some people get Goodworks mixed up with a changed heart

Rejoiceth only in truth ; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things ; keeps no record of wrong. We know in part, we prophecy in part ; but when that which is perfect comes, that which is in part shall be done away with. When I was a child I spoke, understood, and thought as a child : but when we’re grown, we put away childish things. For now we see dimly, but upon HIS return ; we shall see face to face : HE shall be know as we are known. Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me" John 14:6 *Who humbled himself to come to the Earth He created, as an infant to save mankind? Only Jesus Christ ✔ Correct * Who then suffered the crucifixion shedding His blood to clothe man in His perfection so that we can be acceptable before the Father? Only Jesus Christ ✔ Correct *There was only one God thee Father raised from the dead on the third day, and who alone sits at the right hand of the Father. Only Jesus Christ ✔ Correct *There is only one who loved you and me enough to save us from our sins and the second death which is Hell. Only Jesus our Christ ✔ Correct Who else did this for us? None other This is simply the truth and the requirement our Creator has made to live with Him in Heaven. Hell is no party dear friends. It's so simple to ask Jesus into your heart today. Prayer=You tell him your heart, he is listening. He wants you to be saved. If you or any other could save, Christ wouldn't have had to shed his sinless blood for us. We all need Him to be saved. to set the record straight, what's said between 1:25:00 & 1:26:00 about john may not be right, as it's been stated elsewhere that it was john, after 10yrs, that left her not before mentioning 'i don't wanna see your wicked face again' (since the enemy of our creation used her much as with the wife of job, to try to rattle the spiritual resolve of these 2 mentioned giants of God's Plan of Salvation); & yes, as mentioned in this documentary, john's spouse was spurred to jealousy due to the work responsibilities of the founder of methodism, b/ particularly as well, when he would address the letters to his workers as 'my dear ____________' (most of the leaders in the nascent methodist movement were women).. if this happened to such a spiritual person like john, then i don't feel bad about my own predicament, while at the same time remembering a verse from the pauline epistles, 'whoever thinketh it standeth, take heed lest ye Fall'..

Heb 10: 15 - 18 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin. Heb 10: 25 - 31 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
