2:01 I feel that Marin The Fox deserves D tier to be honest. Even at the time of release it was an incredibly slow card with a random effect that could feel incredibly mediocre even when you got the treasure.

Shadow Hunter Vol'jin was meta in wild with Mechathun Warlock. I think it was at its best in Alterac Valley.

@caiofiuzaseixas9027 Iirc that was the combo with doll master Dorian (the og one). You would shuffle mecha'thun into deck, draw + summon a 1/1 copy, then cataclysm for otk

Zeddy, I almost 100% agree with you, except I would move Drek'Thar from Tier S to Tier A since it wasn't "free pre-release" to everyone since we had to choose between it and Vanndar.

I actually got good use out of Shadow Hunter Vol'jin in Demon Seed Warlock. The variant where you used Sacrificial Summoner on a 0 mana Imprisoned Horror to pull Thaddius from the deck and then play your entire deck with the mana cheat. Vol'jin was useful for those times when you drew Thaddius. Just drop a 0 mana Horror and use Vol'jin to swap it with Thaddius. Of course, this was pre-Thaddius nerf when he still discounted by 4.

@@murlocmasher3368mecathunlock saw many itérations , but all of them used vol'jin to manacheat Mecathun You re talking about cataclysm and bloodbloom (no, we don t use bloodbloom omg what are you talking about) Cataclysm discard your hand , bloodbloom only manacheat spells. We used vol'jin to manacheat minion Please, just read cards before saying shit

@@monosbzh5267 Not all of them used Vol'jin. Especially since Mecha'thun Warlock decks predate Vol'jin's release. The original Mecha'thun Warlock that used Bloodbloom (Back when it cost 2 mana before being nerfed because of Mecha'thun Warlock) used 2x Galvanizer to reduce the cost of Mecha'thun to 8 mana, so that they could play Mecha'thun > Bloodbloom > Cataclysm for 10 mana and 5 health.

I know we used to play galvanizer and thaurissan with bloodbloom .. but that was AT THE START When Vol'jin was released, we stopped using little manacheat because Vol'jin was just Mecathun for 5-6 mana But here, we are only talking about Vol'jin (about legendaries released before their expansions, so Vol'jin) And this guy is just trying to tell us that Vol'jin was never played as a combo enabler for Mecathun warlock We re talking about HS in the last 3 years and he thinks about HS 5-6 years ago

@@monosbzh5267 by the time Voljin came out, mech’thun Didn’t see any competitive play.., I mainly only play wild, since its release. And not a single expansion went by, where I didn’t experience the meta. So I can confidently say you’re just wrong, you must’ve been apart a select few. Still using mech thun, when it wasn’t meta.

I feel like Transfer Student should have been included. Its animation is pretty Legendary-like. I personally believe the only reason it's Epic is so that you can run two of them.

It really depends on the card pool tough, it lost a lot of power when Neptulon rotates out.

Some Wild specific notes: Voljin was used as a way to cheat out mechathun and then play Cataclysm Vargoth was really good and still is usable with Oaken Summons. Would destroy most aggro decks if you pulled it off on turn 4. I guess the debate here is longevity or the cards absolute peak

I could see this as an idea for a Rarran challenge. You must win with a deck using these 17 cards, you get to pick the other 23(counting the additional 10 due to Renathal), try your best to make it make sense.

Really wish you could somehow pick which pack you get. I'd probably play Arena more if it were the case. Even if I couldn't get the upcoming expansion, I'd just build up more Standard packs which will do about the same for me once the expansion's out.

Prison of Yogg got overshadowed after Yogg TITAN was released. The Yogg itself is much better card with additional RnG.

Honestly... Prison is and always has been overrated. I've rarely ever seen it do something particularly noteworthy and most of the time it either does nothing or is actively detrimental to the user.

I still see it sometimes. Res Priest in Wild is still a thing. It never got bad by any means, it's just beaten by Demon Seed and Pirate Rogue at the moment, though on the flip side it can counter Dorian Druid. I feel like it could come back anytime.

C'thun wasn't a pre-release card. It was a free card alongside the expansion like the first Tavern Pass reward.

all these cards are dumpster tier as far as i'm concerned, since none can be crafted golden, ew gross. at least got vandaar diamond, only playable card here.
