I don't know if this is intentional but that quote at the start perfectly plays into Helldivers satirising the military-industrial complex and the whole "war for the sake of war" theme that permeates the game, which is absolutely fantastic 10/10 edit

Don't tell the ministry of truth, but I started asking dangerous questions, such as: "Why the hell are we blowing up bug labs? Don't we want to know what they've found out so we can get rid of the bugs forever?" And "Why are the automatons so pissed off at us? And what is Cyberstan?" A friend of mine who was one of the old helldivers from almost a hundred years ago cautioned me and explained what happened to those who questioned orders. That's when I realized that we... might have all been suckered into a very long war for a not so noble cause, and nobody can stop it. So what's a Helldiver to do when all you CAN do is push a boulder up a hill and expect things to change? War never changes. And why change it when it benefits Super Earth? Imagine my surprise when I learned how we started a war against the illuminate. "Theirs not to reason why, theirs but to do and die." Is an old quote from WW1 that resonated strongly in this future. There is no choice but to accept the "truth" that is right in front of you or be subjected to intense re-indoctrination or possible execution. So I stopped asking questions and just focused on the job at hand. Real talk, Helldiver lore blew me away, and I love its portrayal of blind patriotism and its twisted take on democracy run by a secretly authoritarian government. It's friggin awesome.

@@HazyDaze-01 The game is just masterfully crafted, funny satire that is relevant to modern politics along with the gameplay itself just being amazing, i think it's safe to say it will be a long time before people stop talking about Helldivers

My favorite thing about this edit is, the editing. What I mean by that is there was clear artistic effort placed into each shot with framing and camera motion making each moment distinct. Unlike the gross majority of edits that are just splice together gameplay footage that just bleeds together into audio and visual noise. Nice work.
