Everybody got caught up on the viral clips from the Katt Williams interview. From all the conversation ive seen about it for over a month now, I’ve literally not seen one person talk about how he self financed all ELEVEN of his standup specials. For anyone that has aspirations to be independent with creative freedom, that fact is a major gem to me that shouldn’t be under looked.

That's definitely thought provoking. Some people in power in Hollywood probably dislike the fact Katt doesn't need their finances, so he can't be bought. It's worth considering these things when thinking about how many times he's been arrested but never convicted of anything or whenever we hear anyone trying discredit Katt.

Good call out. Katt is a GOAT on many levels and I'd love to see him in way more Hollywood productions. Sounds like he's been bootstrapping his own success since he was in diapers, LOL, which is indeed an inspiration and motivation.

I would too, but it seems like Katt is content with who he is and where he is in his life. If he never did anything else, he’ll be one of the greatest that ever did it. He was talking like a free black man that had nothing left to prove. He just don’t give af no mo 😂

Good point. It seems like this year, alotta people want to speak freely- more than anything else. Not everyone is able to do that!!!

The hard part is that alotta the time, we don’t have the bag and we feel like without their money and their ecosystem we can’t be successful. So we ‘make sacrifices’ and ‘do what we gotta do’ to get ahead…i suppose. Being 🆓 comes with a price.

@user-ui7jw8ow4f race plays a role when he talks about power white people that black people seek opportunity from. So if we need the white man opportunity we gotta play by the white man rules. Katt being able to circumvent that is why I even made this video. In a perfect world we wouldn’t have to degrade ourselves and give up ownership just for opportunity.

Kevin Hart is objectively, way bigger than Katt Williams. For the exact reason you mentioned- he was willing to play the game and take certain opportunities. Katt is obv no slouch in his own right of course.
