1945 and France was already hosting races. It's no different today. Look at COVID when lockdowns finally lifted. Tracks opened immediately. People just want to get on with life. I surved Hurricane Katrina and again we all got on with it as soon as humanly possible. This is truly great. So happy to see this film preserved. They used to play these in theaters.

Just imagine how much better these cars would have performed if they had today's race tires. To me, these sound so much better than today's formula 1 cars.

Thanks for saving these, I saw them first in the sixties when Shell Oil used to share them with sports car clubs.

Just imagine if Shell made videos like this about 60's or 70's racing.
