Well, now you are just spreading lies... Sacheen Littlefeather is Apache and Yaqui on her fathers side, and continiued to work with the issues of native american rights til this day. The playboy shoots where for an older issue idea that where canceled. After the event at the Academy Awards they desided to publish them while she was in the spotlight. Much you can learn by (a minimum effort) researching before posting claims. Like checking the wikipedia page...

0:16, Fun Fact: During this emotional speech about the misrepresentation of native Americans in film and television, an angry John Wayne was backstage being held back by 6 men, as he was seeking to rush the stage and remove the native speaker of whom he believed wasn't a real native, but rather a hired actor as part of a political charade set up by Marlon Brando. Marlon was puzzled by the revelation of this, as he was anticipating that everyone would at least be willing to allow her to speak.

Legally, in the eyes of CA Law, yes the forced kiss was indeed a worse act than what Will did. I encourage you to look up the Law. There are a lot of claimants acting like a regular person would’ve absolutely gone to jail but that’s simply not true. Most slaps aren’t prosecuted. Jim Carrey also snogged the heck out of Alicia Silverstone onstage without her consent. It also was worse. Halle berry is the worst offender. She didn’t just snog Jamie Foxx, she grabbed his crotch and rubbed her hand all over. This was the worst offending sexual assault all on tv! I don’t think anybody pressed charges in any of these cases.

I don't know, what Will Smith did was violent and unacceptable, but for me, the worst moment was Adrien Brody kissing Halle Berry without consent. He trapped her head with his hand, she couldn't even pull away or defend herself, and still had to keep a cool attitude for the camera. I would've cried if someone did that to me. Only a woman who has been harassed can understand that disgusting feeling of someone invading their space. I don't mean to compare these moments, but I genuinely felt bad and empathized with her situation there. She had to pretend to act cool, when she must have felt so uncomfortable with Adrien basically sexually assaulting her, while the audience awkwardly laughed and no one could go up there and help her, it was all so sudden. When I saw this, I kept thinking what I would feel if that happened to me and I was on camera.

Actors kiss each other all the time though. Generally is not a big deal for them, kissing is even a common joke you see in the behind the scenes and the bloopers footage and is usually clearly consensual. It is true that in this case Halle Berry was taken by surprise, but I don't think she was upset about it and also they know each other so its not like if a stranger did that to you on the street.
@sayonighosh2441
@sayonighosh2441 2 жыл бұрын
@@tator9798 Acting out a scene is very different from this. If you watch an interview where she talks about this moment, it is clear that she was uncomfortable and was taken by surprise, but the interviewer laughs it off. Maybe then it must have looked cool or iconic, but imagine if something like that happened in 2022, the reactions would have been totally different. It was wrong then as well but people didn't make a big deal out of it like how people are reacting to the Will Smith Chis Rock moment. I understand what you're trying to say, but I'm sorry I can't see it in any other way apart from the fact that it's wrong. I love Adrien Brody as an actor, watched and admired almost all of his movies, but this was just cringey and uncomfortable for me. Sorry for any grammatical errors. English isn't my first language.

Part of me thinks that hearing your wife, who has an illness that must be more painful to her than I can imagine, become the object of a joke about that illness could set off an emotional response that would lead to the kind of thing that happened at the Oscars. Chris Rock saved the whole night from going down the drain with Will Smith. Rock rocks! Smith should've been dragged out.
