Not only it's a lot of work, but there are also those people who think you, and the project owns them something. They are trolls and they are wrong! All popular open-source licenses state clearly: this software comes without any warranty! OSS developers are not liable for any bugs, problems or challenges.
Open Source is free to use, but it comes with a price.

Open Source is easy: 1) want something? implement it yourself - create a merge request. 2) can't implement? hire a dev an go option 1. 3) don't want 1 or 2? buy proprietary. however I want to add: bug reports are important.

You make some good points here - people *need to realise* that they have no right to demand devs help them or fix anything, even outright bugs - but calling them "A$$holes", especially in a video title is not helpful to getting this message across to people.

The worst people are those who take open source code and rename it and sell it! Sigh!

@@PSAfterHours great video. Just viewed it. Seems like a slippery slope unless one is up front at the beginning. Service labor sold for such a venture would be ok but the client loses control since they do not own the software therefore no company warranty or support. I have actually had this happen in a company I worked for. It’s not pretty.

hahaha today I had one such person who asked a question in ruassian under my German video, when inav will finally fix AHI drift. I just told him in English that I don't speak Russian and he answered again in Russian and expected from me to use a translator to read his question and answer him in Russian. Beside the fact that his question was completely OT to the video I blocked him for that... 🤣
