A HUGE severe weather outbreak is expected to unfold, beginning on Sunday across the Plains, and shifting into the Midwest/Great Lakes by next Tuesday. Intense damaging winds, very large hail, and a few tornadoes can be expected. The weather pattern will remain active to end the month of May!

A HUGE severe weather outbreak will begin on Sunday, and continue through at least next Tuesday. Tuesday appears to be the most significant day for severe weather across parts of the Midwest/Great Lakes region. I'll keep you updated with the latest information throughout the weekend. Mainly damaging wind in excess of 60 mph and large hail of quarter-size or larger at times. The tornado risk will be there but it’ll be secondary.

Correct! Mainly for damaging wind up to 60 mph and quarter-size hail possible. The tornado risk today is extremely low.

Storms will be on a weakening trend as they move east into Michigan early Wednesday morning. Iowa, Missouri, Southern Wisconsin, and Illinois will have the best chance for severe weather on Tuesday.

Probably not much, if any severe weather for Erie, PA this upcoming week. Most likely areas for severe weather will be across the Plains, Midwest and Western Great Lakes.
