This is definitely coming and manufacturers will embrace it as less of i risk.when I purchased my new bike 4 years ago I didn’t ask for a test ride as been off bikes for 25 years I wouldn’t dream of buying a car without requesting a test drive but it just seemed different at the point of agreeing to purchase my bike and had done endless utube review so was confident I was making the right decision, luckily I was and still am happy with my choice I am a lot more confident now and will ask for a demo ride before I buy my next bike.

Agree - I never thought we'd get here quite so fast, but here we are! I guess a lot of "riders" will be able to "ride" using virtual reality soon, rather than actually take the plunge...somehow I think we're losing the idea of what "living" really is...Me, I'll carry on until I can't. :-)Cheers!

AI cannot tell you how the bike feels underneath you or the "character" of the machine and how a collection of metal parts tugs at your emotions and perceptions. Carry on BMR!

AI really is something else. It’s coming and it’s moving FAST! I suspect in the not so distant future, KZfaqrs like you and I will have to put disclaimers at the begging of our videos stating “the events you are about to see are real. The actions were performed by a human.” 🤣👊🏼

This is my first year not upgrading my GoPro. Had a 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11... Going to skip 12. As for AI, it's not about the quality of it, it's about the credibility of it. Who wants to watch an AI generated video when you can watch one created by someone with real personality, quirks, experience, and expectations?

Nicely put. But like many have said, it may well be hard to tell as this tech gets better daily. Like you, I avoided the 12 and recently added another GP11 rather than buy the 12. But it may be the last GP given it sounds like Insta360 will be bringing out a true 4k (8k - two lenses) 360X4.

NOT a good move by the manufacturers/dealers. If I can't get to ride a machine, there is NO WAY I would buy it just from Press releases and phoney AI videos. Recently bought my 43 rd. bike since 1961, from a Local Suzuki Dealer, who has let me test ride several bikes over the years. No ride, no sale.

Completely agree. I have one local dealer that is really generous with rides, but many seem to be going to the once a year manufacturer ride, and put a deposit on anything on the showroom floor you want to take out.

To be honest, I am not too impressed (yet) by AI-generated videos. They look slick but are also very fake. In addition, most (professional) motorcycle reviewers are also not reliable, and cannot fully be trusted with their positive comments, as the manufacturer almost always paid for their travel- and accommodation costs to enable the review, so the "journalist" has to somehow pay them back.... Unless the AI-video looks like a somewhat amateurish local guy with an old GoPro giving an honest review, I am not worried at all.

Agree, although I like Neevesy, from MCN. He has his own independent podcast channel, and if you read between the lines, he's quite clear on which bikes he likes and which he would miss. But, yes, most of the mainstream media are in conflict of interest situation...Cheers.

I'm not impressed by those reviews that stitch together a lot of manufacturer footage with an AI voiceover. I like to ride and watch videos of people who ride. I might not buy another bike for years, so it's not about making a buying decision. It's about enjoying the sport. Until AI achieves self-awareness and understands the feeling of a great machine under you, I'll stick with human content creators.

Pleased to hear it! There seem to be an enormous number of ai generated voiceovers now - and, while at first it was novel, I find the end result grating now.
