Japan has some intricate anti-stalking laws that make it normally very difficult to track someone who does not appear to be public. It is highly illegal. Filming in public on a street is not illegal, but if you target someone specifically who does not want to be filmed it could be considered stalking which is very illegal. Thats why filming a dude in his car could possibly be illegal.
@EvenBigger-Brother
@EvenBigger-Brother 2 күн бұрын
"but if you target someone specifically who does not want to be filmed" But the people in the video were chasing after him so they must have wanted to be filmed , logic dictates you walk away if you don't wish to appear on film . if somebody approaches you ,then you record for your own well being. Do you film those in authority to keep them transparent and accountable in their actions when they are serving in their public role .? The video makes me very uneasy due to the very hostile and criminal actions towards a harmless camera .
@vergil8833
@vergil8833 2 күн бұрын
@@EvenBigger-Brother Most of the people he filmed did not chase him and did not even know that he was filming them... That could very easily be considered stalking. But also no, chasing someone or pushing away their camera does not mean they want to be filmed. It's not like these dudes can just walk away from their trucks, they have to stand their ground to protect themselves and their property from an unpredictable situation. Working in a public space does not mean they're consenting to being targeted with filming, they consent to appearing on security camera footage, but they do not consent to having a camera pointed at them specifically, especially not in a country with such serious anti-stalking laws. People have died due to such behaviour so they take it seriously. I don't get why you see the cameraman as so sympathetic, he walked up to those people and antagonized them, they did not approach him, only the later trolls did that but no ones saying they're the illegal accounts of filming. But also, we know that it wasn't a harmless camera, he literally chased a student down and attacked him all while holding the camera, and he had been jailed previously for violence. How can you see the people being filmed as being in the wrong?
@EvenBigger-Brother
@EvenBigger-Brother 2 күн бұрын
@@vergil8833" Most of the people he filmed did not chase him" so the clips were specially cherry picked ? "Working in a public space does not mean they're consenting to being targeted with filming, " you record the public via CCTV in your country do you not ?, who gave you the consent to target the public . ? we the people did . "we know that it wasn't a harmless camera," Who is we ? . those that accosted the piano player at London tube station were entitled enough to believe they needed to grant consent to be filmed in a public space . A little slip perhaps ? referring to the camera rather than the person suggests you regard the camera as a target . fascinating insight you have provide me with , thankyou .
@vergil8833
@vergil8833 2 күн бұрын
@@EvenBigger-Brother Well yes, he talked about how he was filming random people outside his window, he didn't show all that because it is clearly not interesting. The clips we saw the most of was of course the explosive confrontational clips because it's more interesting. But the vast majority of his filming was of people who did not know nor confronted him. And nope, security cameras are not the same as targeting someone speciifcally. Security cameras film places, if you do not want to be filmed then you can avoid said place. Someone pointing a camera directly at you is not the same, thats someone else subjecting you to being filmed, not you subjecting yourself to a filmed area. And by we I mean everyone who paid attention. We know that the cameraman AKA Yoshi was not harmless because he had been arrested for violence many times... He was therefore a threat to everyone he filmed. The rest of your comment does not make sense, I'm starting to think you are a bit like Yoshi, antagonistic towards the public, very anti-social.
@EvenBigger-Brother
@EvenBigger-Brother 2 күн бұрын
@@vergil8833 "I'm starting to think " try not to think about a pink eyed polar bear for 30 secs and maybe you will come to your senses . " antagonistic towards the public, very anti-social." I see you must have blind faith in make believe as you are fond of fabricating. . "We know that the cameraman "you mean the picture you have painted and the Freudian slip as you falsely identified the camera as the danger .? "security cameras are not the same as targeting someone speciifcally. " now that is blatantly a false fact . CCTV operators track members of the public remotely. security guards and law enforcement also wear bodycams to record encounters with the public . one rule for them and another for us ? . Surprising you Did not pick up on the reference to Brendan kavanagh . PINAC , Cameras are like kryptonite to tyrants that police on personal feelings .

As a Japanese citizen, this saddens me deeply. For ages now the Japanese people and government sweep mental health and disorders aside. People like this are left in society when in reality they need help. Hundreds of people are like this in Japan and they get no medication or therapy and only shamed by their peers and family members.
