Yeap, that's so sad too. Police should look at all options and not jump to conclusions. This case is a lesson, I hope they learn from Sam and Julie. This one got to me, they both sound like they were really lovely humans and made positive impacts on the people around them. I'm glad Steve persisted, kept asking questions and found out the truth so his Son and Julie could be laid to rest in peace.

As a parent, I just wanna say what a wonderful father Steve was. He got justice for his son & Julie based on the strong relationship he had with his son that allowed him to know his son wouldn’t have done this. Rest In Peace to the victims & may the families find peace of their own

Strongly suspect, that's the main reason, why they were broke in the first place! I heard in a documentary about the case, Dan and Rachel's "acting job" at the theatre was more like a hobby, than a real job - the theatre had barely any audience, so it shut down more and more over time - that's also, why Rachel's real job was portraying a Disney princess. Kinda glad for all the other inmates, this Dan Wozniak guy's on death row and alone in a cell - I'd feel super-bad for any potential cellmates of Dan, having to watch him trying to practice his cheesy theatre-roles the whole day long, guess someone had LOTS of MERCY on all of them!

I was in the same unit as Sam in Germany. His passing effected a lot of people. He was an amazing person. Lot of people had memorials of him in their barracks rooms. I’m shocked you did a story on this. Just goes to show he’s still loved and missed and his story lives on.

A taught my 4 year old niece that bees are actually just her “bumble friends” and if she smiles and says hello then she doesn’t have to be afraid. Now when they’re on the lavender bushes sometimes she’ll go from bush to bush greeting her bumble friends 😂 I’m so proud of her

I literally just listened to this story on Mr. Ballen's Podcast. Julie was wearing the tiara because her bother, at their dinner, had asked her to be a bride's maid, and gave her the tiara. She put it on as she left, and that's why she was still wearing it at the scene.

I love the rant about bees! I too love bees so much, and speak to them when I see them. I once found a bee on the ground that was moving so slowly like it was dying. and I picked it up, got in my car, and when I got to my house, I sat it on the porch and nursed it back to health with sugar water in a spoon. It started moving quicker and quicker, and then finally flew away. It was a happy day.

I saw about this on ID Channel. Apparently Dan was kind of creepy with young girls on the set of his play too. I'm so upset he dismembered this wonderful decorated man and poor Julie, probably the first girl in the phone. I hope Dan gets it in the rear every day for the rest of his life against his own will.

I thought the ring was what's called a poison ring. It's a style of ring that people used to wear so that they could discreetly poison people with. The next jewelry collab you do, you should make one and call it the Aqua Tofana! I use mine to keep my birth control in when I'm in public that way I don't call attention to myself ripping through the foil packaging. If you made one, I'd use that one instead!

I've never been a bee hater, when I was little I was scared and got stung once. But once I was told to leave them alone and they will leave you alone. And to just walk away or move a bit and they'll leave. I've never been stung since. But this made me appreciate them for sure lol

Agree. We responded to a call. The scenes never left my mind. This young man inherited $.His co workers found out & later went to his apartment & tortured him for many hours until he died because he wouldn't tell them where the $ was. He kept telling them he didn't have it..which he didn't get it yet. People are monsters

My brother in law started a bee farm and info he gave me on bees and honey is amazing. He told me it helps with algeries and I had to try of course it worked. Just one of the many wonderful things bee's do not to forget polenation!

it’s the fact that both these people who’s lives he took were such kind hearted people who would give anything. julie was so worried about sam she dropped everything to get to him to make sure he’s ok and sam literally thought something fell on his head rather than thinking dan hit him. may they both rest in peace and prayers to their families. :((

I don’t know if he was really going to loan him money or if that’s just what Dan told Rachel before they left. He probably would have loaned it to him if he asked him. Either way, he shouldn’t have killed him. It’s such a messed up situation.

I thought this case sounded familiar and then I remembered I studied this case in my high school forensics class because we did a mock crime scene and investigation where they had changed the names of the victim/suspects etc. We got to see a fake crime scene, the text transcripts, bank account information, and some other pieces of evidence and had to figure out who did it. It wasn't until after we solved it that our teacher told us this was a real case that was pretty local!
