Look how confident, unashamed, and borderline arrogant she was for someone in her position, talking the whole time as if she had her sh*t all together. Then going on to proudly proclaim herself a "good mother" like nothing's wrong. Notice Mathis just kind of kept his mouth closed and didn't say much when it was revealed how many kids and fathers she has. I've even seen him give praise and applaud women who are in similar situations to the plaintiff here. On the other hand, I've seen Mathis give the third degree to MANY men on the show who have a bunch of kids they don't seem to be able to afford. Look at how worked up Mathis started getting with this guy when he was trying to talk about the harassment from the plaintiff, and Mathis cut him off and basically said "who cares, let's get to this child support you owe." Then contrast that with how subdued and quiet he got when the mother's extreme dysfunction got revealed. That says it all right there. We've heard the term "deadbeat dad" thrown around for decades, so much so that you can just say "deadbeat" and people assume you're talking about a deadbeat dad, but you've hardly ever heard the term "deadbeat mom" (even though there are plenty out there). This stuff will never stop as long as long as the criticism, shame, and accountability continues to only be one-sided.
