In his video "When Mormon Missionaries Came to My House" Brian Holdsworth's take on Mormonism and the Restored Gospel is completely mistaken. He believes because the missionaries couldn't answer some of his questions that Mormonism is flawed. I'm here to provide some context and answer his questions.

People who make videos like this are not interested in learning or understanding. They want to prove their selves right and inoculate their viewers from "Mormon" ideas.

That's an interesting point about God the Father. Certain versions of the King Follet discourse would agree that the Father had the same experience as Jesus in that he came to earth and gained a body while still remaining God.

Missionaries probably just had exchanges one day and a zone leader or district leader came to visit. This visit would not have anytging to do with him

Good video, glad to see LDS people interacting with Brain's video, and even more happy to see Brain being charitable. So often Christians just make jokes out of the LDS faith, its prideful and unloving. Sometimes it's hard to dialogue because for a Catholic almost everything is dogmatized but a lot of the LDS faith isn't necessarily seen as dogmatized. I also feel like a lot of Catholic - LDS conversations break down, because we are just talking about two different entities when we speak of "God" the eternal, simple, essence of existence for Catholics. Or for Latter Day Saints God is a Moniker for Heavenly Father, some willing to say Christ is God, but most would only say He is the Son of God and would not pray to him. But either way "God" just means something different to each of us. At least coming from an Ex Mormon Missionary who removed his records to become Catholic. Still I love healthy interactions between the two. God Bless you. Edit: I was raised in an LDS family to be a KJV onliest, and my family to this day is KJV onliest. I don't think I've run into anyone in Utah willing to accept the authority of even the Greek translation over the KJV because Joseph Smith and the Church said it was the closet and was Translated the most correctly to his knowledge. Maybe this is a Utah thing, but interesting how you disagree. Edit 2: I know this is a person vs church thing, but the first time I returned home from Mass my Mother told me that the Catholics were evil, and my Dad told me that the Catholic Church is the "Whore of Babylon" so again, not necessarily an official teaching but even my more relaxed old missionary friends and companions at BYU agree that the Catholic Church is the "Whore of Babylon" who sits on the waters with the Devil.. So, sorry if I'm putting too much. But just felt like sharing.

Thanks for commenting. There definitely is a difference in understanding God's attributes between classic Christianity and the restored gospel. Here's a video I made that quotes the Book of Mormon numerous times proving that Jesus is God. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aL2JiN2JyNXPiGQ.html I understand that many members use the KJV and shy away from other translations, but I've seen Apostles quote other Bible versions in their general conference talks. It's not a doctrine to only use the KJV as it is in KJV-only churches. I too heard many muse and claim the Catholic church was the great and abominable church, but when I read the text of the Book of Mormon it seems that the church of the devil is too extensive to be a single organization. The church's guide to the scriptures agrees with this: "The church of the devil Every evil and worldly organization on earth that perverts the pure and perfect gospel and fights against the Lamb of God." I see much beauty in the catholic church even though I don't agree with everything it teaches.

Hahaha! I usually make my videos when the family is asleep. I have to keep it quiet so I don't wake them up.
