Lesson Notes:
Here are the instructions for this lesson so you can reproduce it for your kids or class.
Materials:
-Your Bible bookmarked to Matthew 21:1-11
-Green Construction Paper
-Scissors
-Something to write with
-Palm Leaves (optional)
Directions:
-Begin talking about the Triumphal entry and Palm Sunday.
-Read Matthew 21:1-11
-Help the kids to Understand by restating what the lesson is about.
-talk about the crowd/ people in particular.
🌴-Make Palm leaves with your kids
-Cut out a leaf shape out of a piece of construction, or if your kids are old enough, let them do it.
- Help your kids to cut the slits in the leaf.
-Write Hosanna on the palm leaf, or save me Jesus.
-Ask the questions from the lesson and get your class to engage by responding to what they learned. Particularly, that they would be able to apply these truths to their lives.
For more Bible Scriptures to look up, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-40, John 12:12-19. The Gospels are amazing eye witness testimony from 4 entirely different men talking about these historical events in slightly different ways. It's fascinating to read them all together to get different perspectives of these biblical events.
All Scriptures were taken out to the ESV (English Standard Version) of the Bible.
