The tears are flowing! What at amazing gift. My son who is now 49 years old has cerebral palsy and uses a power wheelchair. We often rent a handicap accessible van equipped by Braun Mobility. Otherwise he uses handicap accessible buses in Springfield, IL to get around. His hope is someday to purchase a van that his personal aid can use to get him from place to place since the bus has limited run schedules - for example, does not run on Sunday, so church is online. It does my heart good to see the good works for the disabled community. Keep up the good work! Love keeping up with the two of you!

I feel blessed that I found you guys! I’m 63, started collecting diagnosis’s in 1992. Started with Rheumatoid Disease and Reiters Syndrome. Have since added Fibromyalgia and neuropathy in my feet and legs and now my hands. I’m blessed because my family is so supportive. My Grands have encouraged me to add a scooter chair to my canes and walkers. We now are getting a ramp for the back of my car so that I can go more places. You both inspire me! And a shoutout to Liz and your families for all their support!

Seriously teared up. We had to lift my son and his equipment in and out of vehicles until he was 12 years old. Our conversion van was seriously life-changing! This is such an amazing gift for her family!

This touched my heart so much. I am the caregiver to my brother with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and Mom with Multiple Sclerosis and ALS. I don't know what we would do without our BraunAbility Van. We just got a loaner electric Chair for mom and bought the tie downs so I can remove the passenger seat and be able to have both in the van in their wheelchairs. I can't wait to get the seatbelt lock down and be able to take them into places again. I know first hand how important having this transportation is and how it will impact Finley's family. We didn't get an accessible vehicle until my 6'1 brother was 17 years old and up till that time my 5'2 mom and I would lift him into the car. I am so happy for this family.

Unsung hero is the young man assisting his sister and mum. I have a very strong feeling that it is he who will be helped the most by this charitable donation of the wheelchair accessible van. You ARE seen, YOU are valued ❤

What a wonderful gift...I had a friend of the family with a disabled child and I experienced the hardships they went thru 30 years ago...something like this would have been amazing for them. Unfortunately the child and her father passed in a car accident. I think if she had been in a vehicle like this she would have survived. We took peace knowing they went to heaven together.....

I know the struggle. My 29 year old daughter has m.s and severely disabled. I had to struggle putting her in car then wheelchair for years,Finally I received one from my mom. Braunaility is awesome!!This is touching!❤

I am 29, have SMA, and I live my bed for the most part because my van is so old that the lift of my van likes to just stop working. Between that and Covid I haven' been out to have fun in ages. Where can I apply?

We have a family in my town who's daughter was born without 2 limbs, 1 leg above the knee and one arm. They are trying so hard to get a wheelchair accessable van because she is in 7th grade and too heavy to be picked up by the mom. So sad. Congrats to the winner of your van!

Congratulations! I'm recently in this disability world. I had a stroke in 2022. I want to thank you for your "voice" in this bizarre world. I feel as if I woke up one day and put onto this island with so much medication, a language I've never heard, even walking and sleeping are not the same. A BIG thank you to your parents for getting your journey started. So happy this family can now be a family with the ease of transport and now they can easily do family stuff.😊

I’ve been with y’all for a very long time. I comment sometimes but it’s always so late that you probably never see them. I just want you both to know that from the very bottom of my heart, I love you both. Your relationship is very much like what I had with my husband. Not in the fact that one of you is disabled but more the way you interact with each other. I lost him 2 yrs ago to cancer. It took him swiftly and we had very little time to revel in each other before he was gone. I wish you both a beautiful, long life together!!! Man - This is just awesome. I've followed you guys for years now. I work at a Level 1 trauma center...and see a lot. I have a friend who is electric wheelchair / vent/ specialty van dependent. I have another who also has a child with SMA and they raised money and built a disability friendly playground here locally that EVERYONE can enjoy! I am so glad to see this and more helping those with their most basic of needs, and having a normal life! Love you guys

I love this so much. My sister was born with Spinal Bifida and left us in 2009. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t smile at all the inspiration her and my dad left behind. Thank you for bringing the Independent life alive and the beauty behind the inspiring love and friendship of gathering and supporting and including everyone. You make my heart full with your story. I love you both so very much. This chapter is about bringing my own KZfaq to Life instead of just posting and designing the inspiration to give back to others of working hard and the energy forward. Perseverance is writing my life song, creating the melody, singing in harmony that includes everyone. ❤❤❤

Ahh this is amazing! I wish something like this was available when my husband was alive. He had Beckers Muscular dystrophy and used a manual chair. However, after I became disabled from being hit head on by a fuel tanker truck in 2004 which totaled our van. ( which was an older van) after that he had to depend on community accessible van to go to appointments and because we live in a rural area in Texas even that was very limited. And we did not have the funds to purchase another van. Which kept my husband Brian home bound and became depressed. I truly feel that lead to his decline over the years and he past away at age 42 3 years ago. Thank you for all the work and help as well as spreading awareness on MD. I wish there were more resources to help those in need of wheelchair accessible vans be able to get one. God bless you and Chevy! ❤

I have really loved connecting with you guys on KZfaq. I was in my chair for a little over two years before I was able to regain enough muscle strength to learn how to walk again. Having somebody else express feeling the same way that felt helps to really heal my soul. I think a lot of people wonder around, having no idea what it’s like because they’re able-bodied. Thank you for continuing to shed light on the fact that no matter what your mobility status you have value, and you are amazing.

I’m so happy for them! It’s so needed and I hope that more companies will follow this example. 😊
