A little walk-through of several changes that took place in the 70s models on the k5 blazers and the tops also a few questions on a item that has stumped us that somebody may know more about than we do the reason and purpose for the rocker boxes on these generation trucks. That "78 K5 is perfect. Everything just looks right. You guys nailed it with this one. Coolest one i have ever seen. Don"t change anything. He needs those Boggers and real Wheels.

The rocker box was 1973-1975 for structure support no need for them 76-91 because they were half cabs....

I think you might. Want to be very careful cutting into that? I'm not exactly sure, but I know there was an issue back in the day with the bodies folding. That could be a renforcement system because of the full top.

It is a reinforcement area due to that you are correct but we are going to reinforce it in other ways to do what we’re doing

Both have the plaid the tan one has tan leather / vinyl plaid, and the other with cloth is just off the chart colors

1969-1976 blazers/Jimmy's full removable top needs rocker box's half cabs won't have them after 1976.

They are suports to strengthen the body . Only full top k 5 's had them. I wouldn't cut them

We will have to cut and modify them, but we will do an under structure support that will be stronger than they were in the first place

The 73-74 grills are more sunk in, 75-80 are flush. So the white blazer is either a 73-74 judging by the grill.

We will have kits available to purchase very soon. The first to be released will be the single cab standard K5 blazer prior to the full top suburban and crew cab options, fully bolt on wiring ready.
