One of the great things about Springfield is its many diverse neighborhoods each thriving with its own unique identity. Much of what we are striving for in terms of our neighborhoods already exists. We have the framework that makes our neighborhoods strong and gives them a vibrant personality.

Although the simpsons movie showed they were in illinois, there was an article a couple months ago that matt groening said it is in oregon

I was born and raised in Eugene Oregon which is right next to Springfield and than moved there when I got married. Its a very beautiful place to live, Oregon overall is a great state to live it.

I love Springfield: its character, diversity, the trails and parks, the downtown, the historic legacy, the Willamette flowing though here, the local farmer's market, and friendly people. Glenwood? Not so much. Lots of work to be done in this area.
