U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed construction on more than 75 miles of new border wall system along the southern borders of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. This includes the replacement of dilapidated or outdated designs in high priority locations across the Southwest border. Construction is underway for approximately 158 additional miles of new border wall system and another approximately 276 miles are in the pre-construction phase.

The reason the wall is this design is Border Patrol asked for this design for safety and security reasons. They can see through it and determine the threat and response needs.

Just because the wall is being built doesn't mean its having an effect. Ya, a really thick fence is being built at our expense, and while on paper it looks sound, it only took a cheap power saw to make it instantly obsolete.

Hollywood Gold i like the land mine idea and instead of having drones flying elsewhere let’s bring them all here and have them patrol the whole border bomb anything that crosses the border illegally. mount machine guns on the border with motion sensors to shoot anything that moves. put all the troops on the border and give them ROE to defend the border and themselves.

Of course a cement wall will not work. Cement is a powder. Now a concrete wall on the other hand can be vary strong based on how much steel is used to reinforce it and the ratio of other ingredients.

Concrete ingredients: cement (which you acknowledge is a powder), aggregate (rock, sand or gravel) and water. Aggregate, when crushed or cut turns to powder. So the way I see it, 2 parts powder 1 part water. The point is it can be easily penetrated unless it's very thick and they still have tools to break through it. Don't take my word for it, go rent a concrete saw and sledge hammer and see how fast you can take out a section of sidewalk. They have tech and manpower to guard the border, put the money into the boarder patrol. This is just a money grab for Trump's fence building butt buddies. Diverting our tax money into their pockets. Just like all these wars we pay for, who benefits? Not taxpayers, not the locals, just weapons makers and govt contractors. It's a scam and your all suckers. They've got you all scared of nothing. Immigrants have always come here in waves, have always had their backgrounds and loyalty questioned, have always been accused of being criminals and carried disease. I like the solid, reinforced concrete wall, with the big, round top, so a grappling hook cannot catch on it. As far as them being unable to be, "transparent", video cameras and motion detection should solve that issue. I heard the steel slats could be compromised in a few seconds - but not the solid wall system! Thank President Trump that something is being done! President Trump loves America and its Americans!
