Fun fact, HSR Himeko already dies in a funny ending you can unlock by refusing to go on the Express, at the very beginning of the game. The game will tell you "You're told by some visitors that the Astral Express crew and the Stellaron Hunters had one big clash that shoke the universe to its core", as well as the Express ship suddenly just disappears and never comes to visit again.

Not to mention Kevin's Himeko died as well. As a Herrscher of all things. That really fucked the poor man up.

Also another note: In the Herta Space Station, there’s a room with all sorts of items from different universes like the wind glider from Genshin Impact. But most important of all, Himeko’s (hi3) sword that was with her during the Final Lesson. And when you interact with it using Himeko (hsr) it says a long line of dialogue, then “she was reborn in the fire, she was smiling in the fire” 🥹 We shall always treasure Himeko no matter what universe

Void Archive is now cooking something in the Star Rail universe and it's very concerning to me. The last time they let him cook, Lucheni and the massive star gate happened.

Himeko's death gave a MASSIVE character development to Kiana. We can say was one of the most important characters in HI. My only hope is they dont do this to Himeko in HSR or Murata in GI. Himeko deserves to be happy after all the tragedy in previous era and current era

I doubt Star Rail Himeko will die. Honkai Impact Himeko's death suited the themes of HI3rd: loss and tragedy, but also finding love and beauty as the will to carry on. Star Rail's themes are different. It is a classic "Planetary Romance", full of discovery and the challenge of understanding new things at every turn, and growing. Star Rail's Himeko is once again the facilitator of learning, but the lessons here are different. She may be a little saddened by the inevitable transience of her companionships as she travels ever onward, but her calling in this universe is much different. I'm reminded a little bit of the line from Blue Oyster Cult's song "Astronomy" referring to the light from the stars, or the light of pure knowledge: "The light that never warms." So she finds warmth in a cup of coffee, and her traveling companions.

As long as there's no Kaslana, Himeko will survive so let's make a vote so that there is no kaslana in the HSR

i feel like Himeko in HSR will get an alternate version first, hopefully stronger, before hoyoverse decides her fate.

My greatest surprise will be if Himeko HSR gets saved by a glance by Terminus Aeon of Finality (if u know what I mean & if terminus is who I think it is now) and Himeko gets a new path similar to Trailblazer who got the path of preservation... Himeko gets the path of Finality

a little theory i have is that himeko's constant fate of death is directly related to her being the host of the herrscher of fire in every universe,like how mei is always the herrscher of thunder (or its equivalent) and Kianna is always the herrscher of finality even in the HI3 current timeline where she dies before being consumed by honkai corruption it's only her consciousness/ego that allows Kianna to gain the authority of fire (directly implying she has its authority and it simply wasn't awakened in her life) and become flamescion,the imaginary tree/honkai has decided that all versions of himeko exist to be beacons of hope for others that get cut short like a flame in the dark but in a universe where the honkai are no longer present and the fate of fire isn't directly linked to himeko she's free to live her life as she pleases

I've only played the beginning of HI3 but I remember Himeko having a Misato-like personality, so when I started HSR I was really suprised to see this refined and calm version of her. Now that I know her story it makes sense for HSR Himeko to be like this, it's like a version of her whose dreams were never shattered... She's become one of my favorite characters, I love her a lot and I hope she continues happy and alive until our very last travel with the Astral Express

I think Himeko wouldn't die this time. she's more familiar with higher dimension entities in hsr than hi3, where ppl are still trying to figure out what honkai is. besides, Welt must've told her about the Himeko from his world and she doesn't react while interacting with that one curio in HSS. but knowing what the writers are capable of, let's just enjoy every moment with her while it last. and maybe use your 300th warp for her >:)

The path of the Trailblaze has blessed me with Himekos presence, I shall never leave her the Express! That door was extremely difficult for me to open, I exhausted her dialogue until there was no more and then I had to face that door, because opening that door meant acknowledging her death, I had to do it in the end to advance the story, but man, imagine being this attached to a fictional character.

Nah she ain't dying Welt is there and Pom-Pom too, if Himeko gets hurt Pom-Pom runs over the villain that did it with the train.

sounds to me like kiana is the source of most if not all of himekos hardships so as long as another kiana doesn't show up in startrail starrail himeko should be safe.

I was an avid himeko fan in Honkai impact 3rd and i litteraly went into depression when she died, and if they Do it again i swear to god, I SWEAR TO GOD.

Oh, kamown, we all know Welt isn't leaving this Himeko. He didn't cross the gulf between dimensions to leave her for a "destination". If Akivili's heart is Himeko's Destination, then Himeko, leader of the Nameless and Navigator of the Astral Express, is Welt Yang's Destination.

I honestly believe they could be the same Himeko. I remember that imaginary space is connected to random points of space-time, and that due to the Herrschers' connection to it, that it can influence what happens to things lost in it. With how much older Himeko Star Rail is to Himeko Impact 3rd (I love that it is HSR and HI3 still hehe,) there is that possibility, especially since Akavili, though dead by the time she takes the Express, would still have certain capabilities active. This being because the Engines of Creation are just kinda OP. Especially the Express, since it can stop/slow aging as long as you are on the Path of the Trailblaze, travel through space-time better than any other star faring vessel out there, create space routes itself through-space time for others to follow, and, from implications from Dan Hung and March 7th, there are countless items it creates to make trailblazing easier. If Akavili knew about the Honkai version of Earth (which is possible cause of all the connective characters and actual subjects) there is the possibility... with the fact he was always seeking out trailblazers, he could have saved Himeko. This last though is far more speculative than anything else, since we know next to nothing about Akavili's full powers besides surfing the space-time waves. Like a gigachad.

I can totally see Himeko not dying in HSR if that's how Hoyoverse would give her the 2nd chance in life as you said, but I can also completely see Himeko dying again as a recurring trope to her character. She's kinda like the Caesar (JJBA) of the Honkai Universe at this point.

my first hoyoverse game was genshin impact, so as a GI player, I thank you for the lore. i used to want to play honkai impact 3rd, but when i tried it there was just too much infomation and became confusing fast so i didn't finish it. However, i always wanted to understand the lore more, so I went surfing for honkai lore videos so I still know whats goin on. I really like otto's Lelouchish character, so i thought honkai impact as a whole seemed like a rollercoaster of emotions. im really happy that theres a new honkai game, hsr. hope i can experience the story from the start and get into this universe more. PS i hope there are lots of tear jerkers in hsr so we can cry together, too.

My friend and I's favorite characters in HSR are Welt and Himeko respectively (but both) and we make scenarios where Himeko ends up dying, or Welt (in his promise to rectify a past action) dies protecting her. Welt has gone through many things and survived, while Himeko has not throughout the honkai universe... we both want that they're both alive, but I think it's quite poetic in a sense that Welt's "last" adventure is one where he is permitted to go to many worlds and being able to protect Himeko. Himeko lives, hopefully, because she literally fixed the Astral Express and deserves to be that AU where Himeko lives.

Although the himeko from the other honkai series was missing, such as honkai gakuen 2(GGZ), we see several different endings for her there. although the genshin Himeko is still missing, which will also have a different destiny.

I got HSR Himeko on the standard banner and then I lost to her on the event banner. I was elated. I will never let her go.

Ultimately they are two different games with different antagonists and goals. So in my opinion HSR Himeko won't be killed off, I feel like she'll be with us till the very end of the game. The saddest thing for the crew right now is the possibility of all of them going their separate ways. Welt has to go home eventually (he has a kid and wife...I think?), after the main story of the Alliance is all wrapped up Dan Heng might be allowed to go home if he wants, March might stick around however we don't know much about her background at the moment, the MC might die or something else could come up to prevent them from being able to travel or maybe they just want to go home, and as for Himeko she might still travel on the express. Either way we'll have other sad things to deal with in the future but at least Himeko will be alive. Side note- I'm only saying MC might die because of what Kafka said about them facing Nanook. Hopefully they don't though.

I started playing Star Rail and I'm very interested in knowing about Honkai 3rd story but I dont have time to play another gacha game tbh :_ Hope you continue to do more. You man are the single reason I can remotely understand the greater Honkai lore as a whole. I don't have the energy or the money to play HI3 or the other myriad of games and it doesn't look like a lot of online sources are updates and are usually riddled with opinion bias. If you ever take suggestions, I keep seeing things like 'dead in the digital/simulated universe' and I keep getting tripped up on that. I thought Fu Hua was dead-dead and then I found out she was like only sort of dead.If you ever do a video comparing the two I'd love it 🥰

I wanted to ask about what's the difference between previous era mei and current era mei in honkai impact 3rd, like are they same person or not? Cuz like we can certainly see that previous era mei was with Kevin but the current era mei is with kiana, so it confuses me there, it would be nice if you can help me understand this, and it'd be great if there'll be a video about it as well, also your videos helped me a lot with understanding honkai impact 3rd more, thanks for that

I think you should make your Honkai explanation video (the one where you cover all the games and how they are connected in the Honkaiverse) into a video series. So that instead of worrying about condensing a TON of information into one video, you can spread it out into multiple videos that allow you a bit more freedom to explore the different games. Like you could probably just make an individual video for each game. It might be more work or not I'm not so sure, but I think it might help you space out all the information.

Gonna be honest the Argenti quest/event kinda leads me to believe our Himeko might actually be the Aeon of Beauty the way she talks about the Aeon and Argenti I don't know it just sounds odd almost like she's very familiar with it and talks about how would Argenti even recognize the Aeon of Beauty even if he looked right into her eyes. Could be reading to much into it I don't know.
