Today we go into the magical and sometimes bizarre world of Hollow Knight Meme Categories! I picked out some interesting categories to go through for today, and that is exactly what this video is!
I wanna also apologize for taking so long to upload again! I've been really busy with schoolwork and in general very very tired, so it's been hard to be productive. I wanna hopefully be able to return to semi-weekly uploads! Thanks for all the recent support to the channel though! Means a ton!

oh look thats me (fun fact: the spore shroom aluba kill in queen's garden for al2ba% only works on current patch; on 1221, it requires either shade soul or dash slash, both of which are (unsurprisingly) slower than spore shroom)

I remember having a meme category idea called Cartographer% where you have to get every possible room filled in on the map. Time is on the final 'Map Updated' notification showing up on screen with every room visited once

I went to the Extended Extensions and they have "Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss speedrun", Scrappy Couple(Cloth and Bretta) and other amazing categories.

@@morphalta2074 If I remember correctly, Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss is about getting all encounters with Hornet as quickly as possible. She is obviously the Girlboss of this game.

If you want to do that with every single hot spring you can slug in then you would need to get to p5 to finish whether you count the hot springs within the pantheons or not

Idk if people have done or thought of these before, but here are some run ideas I have: Genocide%: -Get hunter’s mark -Kill cloth -Kill nail master -Let zote die -Get “Witness” achievement -Kill Myla -Do “Sealed Sibling” ending -Kill Mellibelle Rando%: -Any% on item randomizer -The settings for the randomizer can be decided by the community -You will get 10 minutes before the real speedrun to plan your route with the knowledge of where every item is (if it’s possible to do so) Zote%: -Defeat Grey Prince Zote while following all precepts

Oh! I was confused why you'd need lantern in "No Spells" for a moment, but without dive, you'd need to open the geo gate instead

yknow... this has me thinking. i've just recently gotten into hollow knight and i love it to death and ive become fascinated by the speedrun strategies. i also really love trying to solve weird puzzles that aren't intended meant to be puzzles and figure things out, but obviously the normal runs have been endlessly worked on and analysed for years now... so what if i come up with my own bizarre 'meme category' with 0 other contenders and see if i can puzzle my way into finding the fastest strategies i can, with all my limited knowledge and lackluster gaming ability... that could be _fun_

I don't think you'd be able to get any first source of damage, you'll have to get spell or claw to get the shield or dreamnail for grimm, so no grimm. No womb as well, it requires you to finish the challenge. And the weaversong is in deepnest. I don't think that could be possible, but if it is, that'll be very fun

@@gektor_flektor Sample has a "pacifist run" (defined as "if you never gained souls then you never hurt a fly"), where he managed to arrange an impressive number of stalactite accidents but still had to abuse a (very slow) glitch in order to get from Crossroads to the Fungal Wastes. But that opened up the Mantis Claw and from there the Dreamshield, so that seems like the crucial step.

it was BDSeMilitia (a category where you get to emilitia and stand below her so it looks like you get stepped on) They removed it :skull_face:
