ive ran Dime Deans for about 22 years been in four bad ass bands even jammed a couple of time at death core records in front of Phil Anselmo in South Louisiana. but in all this time ive never seen anyone so spot on with old Zakk. That Orange amp head sounds killer. Only thing is I hate the color. Does Orange amps make them in the color "black"? I have PTS issues with the color orange stemming from multiple incidents revolving around perpetual abuses with pumpkins being used as instruments of torture & mind control on me, when I was a child. I still haven't recovered yet.

Max Kofov no just 10 to 52 like I normally do but I did notice there was a ton of slack. I can get away with Drop A bit it’s not as clear as if I had a heavier gauge. What do you like to use for lower tunings?

52 lowered to baritone tuning?! Wow, I’m really amazed))) I suppose the strings should feel like spaghetti? They would do so on my Strat, definitely. But I’m just guessing because I’m totally new to low-tuning songs and associated type of music, to tell you the truth. And I am getting more and more interested in it (thanks to you, as well now ;-)) and think about buying a guitar specially for taking on this stuff. There are a lot of discussion here about getting right tone. It all comes down to a right guitar (active pick-ups and fixed bridge) and heavy strings. Zakk himself uses .60-.70 playing his stuff for a purpose I guess…

Max Kofov I know a lot of cats like the active pick ups especially for metal but I’ve always gravitated to hi output passive pick ups. It all comes down to what you like. What kind of strat do you play?

I think it all comes down to where one's hands grow from, as they say here lol and it seems you have them attached to the right places ) I have Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster with Maple Fingerboard (bought it last year in Guitar Center for $900)
