There’s a long history of reformed attachment and sought affirmation of Luther . Misconstrued Luther is very common given his sheer amount of writings and bold language . Luther and Philip aren’t as distant as many people believe based on Phillips’ later works even on the Eucharist . Luther is so misunderstood and it’s very unfortunate because our theology is so unbelievably consistent both scripturally and historically. Lutheranism is truly the Reformed Catholic Church .

Faith is a gift of God given through the sacrament of Baptism. Sola Fide.

I read Acts 8, and it appears this chapter backs up James White. Simon was baptized, but did not experience regeneration. Could it be, because it includes Gods mercy and God does not give mercy to everyone?

You didn't "take down" James White. If you want a formal debate with James White on the issue of baptism saving you, then ask him.

Lutherans will say in the same breath: "Justification by faith alone!...............aaaaaannnnd also Baptism.
