I actually kind of like the human error element, makes battles much more realistic. Plus we have to remember that what we're seeing isn't necessarily what they see due to fog of war. One thing I don't like about 'professional' gaming is that it always boils down to just cracking the most effective metas and build orders, and matches all tend to look and play the same because the motivation is money, not entertainment. You almost never get surprises, or come backs, or any kind of crazy circumstance because 'professional' players just don't let that kind of stuff happen much, it just becomes a contest of who can click faster.

The Elector of Saxony was made King of Poland due to the Polish Regency Council of noblemen, and they elected him to be their King. Napoleon actually dismantled that council and put one of his Marshals Poniatowski as Grand Prince of Poland.

@@manualsm1631 Poniatowski became Marshal in 1813/14 so you are actually wrong, he had that title because of previous Polish King, Stanisław August Poniatowski.

So basicly, Duchy of Warsaw was in personal Union with Saxony but they had seprete army, goverment, treasure etc.

CA can't pull of realistic warfare for this time period. This mod took years to develop and is NOTHING like vanilla Napoleon Total War. NTW 2 from CA would be shallow arcade like game. It would take 5 years to make it playable by modders add to they would probably make modding even harder than it is. This takes ton of reasearch, testing and balcing devs would never do. So maybe in 15 years we get something similar if second Napoleon comes within next 5-7.

Like sure it would have better graphics and effects but it would be shallow without tactics and strategy of this time period.

Unfortunately we are stuck with ass fantasy warhammer arcadey titles so lets hope somebody else will give more care to the napoleonic era

It reminded me of War and Peace when most of the time no one knew what was going on. Everything was so disorganized no orders could possibly be effective. Just men charging into the smoke and coming back over and over until someone wins. If this were in hardcore mode, it would have looked supremely realistic.

please man, their is not more strategy, because with ntw3 they are basically all ranged with rome you need to know how to maneuver you’re troops and how to angle them and how to set up your skirms, more strategy and more epic ness with rome

More like over the 1700s the Electors of Saxony (from the House of Wettin) were repeatedly elected as the Kings of Poland, with some back-and forth with the Leszckzynski magnate family. But when it comes to the turbulent quarter-century from the beginning of the French Revolution to the final fall of Napoleon you pretty much need a scorecard to track all the political rearrangements being made and rolled back and modified all over the place anyway.

The old Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was dead and gone by this timeframe though. The _relevant_ political arrangement here is the personal union, in the person of Frederick Augustus I, of the Kingdom of Saxony formed out of the old Electorate of Saxony when Napoleon dissolved the Holy Roman Empire in 1806 and the Duchy of Warsaw "Bonie" made out of the Prussian possessions in Poland in 1807.
