I'm actually excellent with words, and I strive for accuracy and avoid exaggerating. But this song is so good I don't want to try to describe the way it hits me. Memories of 1985 [when I discovered it] lying on the floor in the living room with the stereo loud enough to be heard in the next county. Loved your stories and playing 👍

Damn, I can't stop, His perfection is just to much. I am still in shock. I tried this song, for 20 years. Never got it. He is better than it was presented. The best song ever that has ever been created. #1 No doubt. The hardest to recreate, due to it's perfection.

My closest friend Kevin and I wore the groves off this album when we were young. He commented that this was one of his favorite songs. He was killed at age 20 in a motorcycle accident. I'm now 58. Every time I hear this song, the momories of him come back. What a great song and a fantastic cover!

I am in awe. 63 year old here, played over 40 years, 7 inch disc, nothing more. But what fun. People adore you. As I adore you, and your talent. G - again -2, and then we talk. I need to meet you. Seattle much, it's time. Teach me. I got the ride dude.. No Problem. Bring the family, and let's fucking rock. The Scholz way. I can get him too, but hard at the time. to Tony Tupelo, since I cannot reply to his comment thanks to some GooTube bullshit programming: thanks! I get pretty close sometimes. I think I have a tendancy to drag a little bit. Maybe it's because I don't rehearse these but a couple times right after I learn them. I used to play in a rock band back around 1983/84 and I knew the songs like the back of my hand and could play them in my sleep left handed so these play-alongs are done mostly after I quickly learn them with hardly 2 run throughs. So there are some mistakes but for the time I invested, they are fun.

When I was a kid I had my guitar teacher figure some of this song out for me. It was about 1982 and my guitar teacher, Carmen Carmonica, would spend a few weeks in Utica NY and then he would fly out to Vegas and play for Tony Orlando. Boston was a bit different flirty him but he was good and when he had the time he had figured out the song. However, he had figured out the piano. To this day I still play the piano portion of the song on guitar. I've never known any other musicians that wanted to do this song. You, Mr Surge, have unlocked the mystery. I'm hoping to do an acoustic version of this song with my band by next year. Man I'll never be will always be one of my favorite Boston songs. I'll be watching this video over and over.

Definitely the best song off this album. And a poignant message, considering Brad's death.

To the 40 jerks that gave a thumbs down let's hear your play along version of this song! Ha!Ha! Yes we are all waiting to hear you play! TruthSurge you absolutely "killed" it on this awesome Boston song! Kudos to exceptional playing and tone on your efforts! I am a huge Boston fan! I got to hear them play at OLE MISS in either 76-77! Blew my fricking mind and every single person in that coliseum that night! For real! Mac Baker

Holy crap, that sounded excellent! I put good headphones on to listen to it through my iPhone 6s, and you nailed it, bro! I love this solo, it's probably my favorite solo to play from the band, and I can play it exactly like on the album, so I really appreciated that you can also! BTW, nice guitar! I used to own that guitar! And I too used to play nothing but KISS back in the day! And regarding Tom's sound, I bought the Rockman when it came out, and I'm so glad you know about Ty Tabor! Dude, you're my new fav KZfaq guitarist! Right on, man!

Very cool brother. I was in a couple of bands back in the late 70's and early eighties. We had rehearsal space at the Cambridge Music Complex. Several Boston based bands did too. The Cars and across from ours was Boston's. I got to meet the members of the Cars and sit in with them while rehearsing songs for Panorama. I was told that Boston hadn't been at their rehearsal space. It was at the time they where in a battle with the record company and had to reform under different names. I saw Boston at the Boston Gardens in 1979. Sammy Hagar was the opener.

I've never been to Boston. I'm sure it's a cool place. Was Sammy HAgar solo then? I know he was with Ronnie Montrose at some point. Maybe by 79 he was solo. I guess he had to be. By what, 1985 he was with VH?

TruthSurge Sammy was solo. He wore his signature red leather. You're probably right it was around 85.

TruthSurge It was billed as Boston with special guest Sammy Hagar. I wish it was Montrose though. I just found it. It was November 6, 1978. The set list did include Bad Motor Scooter.

Sammy was good on guitar, though. No slouch. But he had a good voice so that's mainly what his thing was. I had that Montrose album with bad motor scooter. It was cool
