This video is not gonna go the way most folks think it is and I hope yous are pleasantly surprised haha. The game itself is still in early access but for what's here it's really good. There's still more songs I've yet to unlock, but I might wait till full release to revisit it

It's funny how the first boss feels a lot harder than it actually is because it only messes with you visually, it never deviates from the basic rhythm.

With the amount of rhythm RT has improved on since playing Rhythm Heaven, I can definitely say I have full confidence that RT can perform an operation on someone by using the “Wubba Dubba Dubba That True?” technique and make it out alive

how do they classify a patient as a 'boss'? do they just locate the patient that is the closest to dying and tell the doctor hes the hard level?

Rhythm Doctor isn't the story about how Daniel became a doctor using rhythm, it's the story about how he finally got cured of his rhythm disease. A true miracle to behold.

Either RT has massively improved his rhythm skills, or they just come out in a life or death situation.

Also like how they have a patient infected with a WiFi disrupting virus, so they leave them in the care of the intern connected to the hospital's systems by WiFi, rather than having the on-premises doctors take care of it.

It's certainly a bold choice to go from a heartfelt song about the hardships of working in the medical industry to Rhythm Dogtor

This is one of my all-time favorite games; unfortunately, this rhythm doctor is sending most of his patients to rhythm heaven-

The LOW HEALTH indicator in boss 1 is a *genius* use of a safety net to save you for a couple of bars as the blinking matches the beat. It's so good!

Seeing the game force Dan to close his eyes and not rely on visual cues was so cool. This game seems great for teaching people how to feel the beat!

Watching RT going from relying on visual cues in Rhythm Heaven to full embracing rhythm and counting beats in this game makes the inner band kid in me so happy

Fun fact, finding a hard level with really good music in a rhythm game is THE BEST way to get better at said game

Both of my parents are nurses. When I was listening to Dr Paige’s song, it just hit me in the feels. That’s my parents’ lives and jobs and with the NHS crisis I do worry about them, especially my mum (my dad thankfully retired last October). I remember having to miss many birthdays and Christmases because they were working, and thankfully they were able to be present for most of my life.

It’s actually so sick that they give you an option to hide the spider!! I have arachnophobia, and though not sure if a pixelated spider would bother me personally, I don’t have to take that chance! Super cool on the dev’s part

That part where the game was minimised and moving around the screen is AWESOME. Such a genius idea! I bet this could be super effective in a horror game. Maybe something along the lines of Inscryption

I think my favorite was the coffee one hearing the "ready, get, set, go" on beat and changing the rhythm at the same time was so satisfying

Gotta love Rhythm Doctor, I hope there's a part 2 for the Night Stages. I really love "Wish I could write more and care less" that's probably my favourite one here.

Its a shame there's not more comments praising the way this game was made. With a background in music this game does a lot of neat tricks to promote 'feeling' the rhythm as the way to beat it instead of watching. Notice how many times Dan does better when he starts moving more and more of his body. Yeah, when there's many parts the visual cues become more important, but the game really tries to reinforce pattern recognition and cleverly places all the hits accept the 'boosted' ones on down beats or up beats even if it sounds like its much more off-rhythm. This game is so cleverly made and I thinks its clear to see in Dan's gameplay just how well it actually works. He improves in some areas so quickly and I bet if he went back to that other rhythm game (can't remember the name) he would do a lot better this time around.

Listening to this wihout any visuals is just the chillest music imaginable interspersed with occasional groans of angony and sudden elation 😂

Next Rhythm game RT plays should be titled "A Man With a Little Rhythm Plays X" in light of his newfound improvement

Do you know what I appreciate? The option not to see the spider. Arachnophobia tends to get played off as a joke, but it is a legitimate phobia that is personally quite debilitating. It was nice to see it taken a bit more seriously and treated as a genuine phobia people might not want to interact with in their game.

the act 2 boss music cutting out if you kill the patient is perfect, both because it's a different type of challenge due to your inability to practice the whole song at once but mostly because being able to hear more of such a banger is such a wonderful reward for improvement

I'm only 21:00 in and the creativity of this game is insane, and quite honestly if this is possible I'm surprised there aren't more games out there that push the limitations of just what you can do with stuff like this..

GOD DAMN FINALLY! Seeing you finally move and groove to the music in the webcam is the biggest reason you're doing way better. There is a reason a lot of musicians tap their feet and or bob their heads, it's not just because they like the music but because it's a great way to keep time and way easier to do so than just strictly focusing like you did in the rhym heaven playthroughs.

The best joke in this entire game is with Richard Hugh- if using the shortening of his name, he's Dick Hugh- which, written on medical documentation, would be Hugh, Dick- Huge Dick Subtle but crude and accurate- I love this!!

I love Rt's persistence and will to improve. Most KZfaqrs give up in sake of just getting more content by switching to an easier mode or give up on the game in general. It's nice to see this.

The fact that RT closes his Eyes to actually feel the Rythm through his Body makes me as a Musician happy, tells me he's learning not to just use visual queues given but actually listen to the structure of the Song.

I hope RT plays more rhythm games. If he ever does a long/multi-stream play of one, he should definitely do Hi-Fi Rush.

Tip i discovered while playing: sometimes for SVT it's easier to count 1-2-3-4 and press the button on 3. It's harder to maintain rhythm with just two notes per "measure"

This game actually looks insanely fun, coming from someone who doesn’t usually like rhythm games. The sound design and level design look and soound gorgeous, I’m probably going to download it to try in my free time. It also really looks like you’re having such a fun time playing it RT! Its maybe not the way there usually go but it’s enjoyable nonetheless!

It’s actually kind of scary how much RT improved in such a short time. At the beginning, he could barely keep up a basic beat, but by halfway through he was keeping rhythm better than some people in my high school orchestra, even with the game flying across the screen. (Yes, some people in my orchestra aren’t the greatest - the group would probably improve noticeably if the director assigned this game as homework.)

Rt has gotten so used to rhythm games that he doesn't even need rhythm anymore, now he's doing it purely in instinct.

Seems like you're getting better at this, so quick tip if you haven't heard of this yet. If there's ever a situation in which you need to perform chest compressions on someone, think of the song "Staying Alive" and compress to the beat. Rhythm can save lives, literally. Edit: Turns out there are quite a few songs that work for CPR, so, thanks replies! Good to be as knowledgeable about as many life-saving tips as possible.

I have never, in all my time on KZfaq, stopped a video in the middle, so I could go buy the game and play it for myself. This game is just that good.

So I am a percussionist so I've got to be really good at rhythm right. So it's really interesting to watch you play, and see like you relying heavily at visual cues. Because for me the visual cues mess me up most of the time and I need to listen to the auditory ones. It was really fun to watch you play this, I love seeing people play rhythm games lol.
