This could also result in a Megumi “heel turn” having his mind broken by Sakuna to make him start the merger. 2. Speaking of Megumi. Has anyone noticed that the giant skeleton in his Chimera Shadow Garden technique looks like it could be large enough for a merger? With the other shadows gone, and their powers pushed forward to the next, perhaps the merger could be megumis most dangerous power. 3. While a Maki Stan, Nobura could still have her uses should she return. If Yuji could eat Sakuna like he promised, perhaps she can staple their souls together for the final blow to be dealt killing both Yuji and Sakuna together in sacrifice to save everyone. Perhaps Nobura could even play a more positive role in nailing Yuta and Gojo to their proper bodies should shenanigans occur with their swap. I believe the reason we have not seen Hakari fight Sukuna yet is because Hakari already possesses the mindset Sukuna enjoys. Everyone else (like Yuta) fighting Sukuna are slowly developing that mindset overtime while fighting him. I believe Hakari will fight some sort of "Awakened" Sukuna whether that is by the merger or something else. As Uraume said to Hakari, "You are different. I don't consider you human anymore". I'm going to make a prediction: Sukuna tanks the Jacob's Ladder but barely survives, ultimately using some makeshift domain expansion combined with the merger to force activate it early and save himself, as both Sukuna and Yuji get dragged into the sky by the forming creature that is becoming part of Sukuna. Yuji lands a few more black flashes and Shrine slashes until ultimately a chapter ends with someone saying Domain Expansion. Yuji uses his domain but targets cursed energy as a whole and engages a binding vow that allows him to do so and target all of japan but in exchange for having the slashes also destroy any trace of sukuna, killing both Sukuna and Yuji in one blow and leaving things in a state of chaos.
