Teri Deewani is originally from the debut studio album by Kailasa (the band in the video), so the music and lyrics were done by Kailash Kher and the other band members. It was only featured in Slumdog Millionaire!

This song is from his debut album by his band Kailasa , what a legendary song . The other two guys are his band members Paresh Kamath on guitar and Naresh Kamath on bass , they’ve given backing vocals in original one too . World class music ❤

It's actually a indie pop song,composed by kailash kher not ar's composition in "slum dog millionaire " ar used many other movie songs like "aaj ki raat" from don movie composition by shankar-ehsan-loy. This song came in i guess in 2005/6..please anyone correct me if i'm wrong

This album came at the time of Aap Ka Suroor by Himesh and that album has created a storm in India. This Teri Diwani album was the only one that gave a real fight. I think Teri Diwani will stay as the BEST Debut album of any Indian Band. All the songs are masterpieces. And the rest we all know, every other Kailasa band album became masterpiece

This isn't AR's composition but Kailash Kher's own composition. It's not from a movie but from his singles album. His album songs were so good much better than his playback songs. You should check his song saiyyan and Allah ke bandey. I think it was from the same album

Those musicians aren't just supplements, they're members of his band Kailasa and has been with him before he started singing in Bollywood and was just releasing his albums with Kailasa independently. "Teri Deewani" and "Saiyaan" are from this band. It's not I repeat NOT A BOLLYWOOD SONG.

Guys... There are many many composers in india whom you are not familiar with yet... Yeah A R Rahman is a great name and he is a legend... But you should listen to M M kirwani, Naushad sir, SD burman and RD Burman also... They are also legends in their own music... And they all are different kinds of composers that will make you so much think of how diverse and agile indian music is✨

Every Good Song from India is not Composed by AR Rahman, Slumdog Millionaire WTF...Really disappointed by you guys Effra and Waleska....After couple of years you still make elemantary mistakes....The Songs of Slumdog weren't even that good....Teri Deewani by KAILASH KHER is miles better than Slumdog songs...

Thank you thank you thank you so much for putting it out there🙏 🙏….i mean nothing for these guys, fine an honest mistake and people like you will call them out, (plus they are foreigners what else to expect just getting everything wrong about us), but about that thing, that every good song is AR composition..really is so sad..and so so insulting to so many legendary composers we have…..I mean with all due respect and really I love many of AR compositions but he is way too too over rated for Hindi songs….and also if one has listened to south Indian music too we have legends like Ilayaraja ji, ….AR might have introduced many western nuances to the Indian song composition but has not explored well enough the melody in melancholy….i mean even our passionate sad songs are so so pleasant to ears that one can literally listen to them even in solitude and feel the warmth, may be sad but definitely not depressed……there is a very thin line between sadness to compose and depression.

Come on waleska. Do sanam original songs. They deserve a listen and appreciation on their own work. As said before their covers are great in getting the youth engaged in older music but their original work has been very under appreciated Their work is off the charts. Jaane de mujhe, Main hoon, Shama hai jali Nazron ko Ishk bulava. I prefer their acoustic version to the movie version. Same singer but not written by them . PLEASE!!

You need to understand that not all love thematic songs in India refer to the literal meaning of love as perceived in western world. The poems and ballads of the saint-poets from the Bhakti (devotion) and Sufi schools of philosophy depict love as the epitome of devotion towards the beloved (God, supreme being, the creator).
