I personally think a lot of internet trolls actually believe their "criticism" is valid but most of them have grown up in a dumbed down western education system where they've never actually been taught to think critically or to voice opinions or facts in a proper way. N. America especially is filled with people shuffled through the education system, even university level, who are so logically clueless they don't even know they're making the most basic elementary fallacies. Adults with child like abilities at logic Every youtube comment board is full of them. And these people think they are correct. But they're not. It's either that or the criticism is given along with some snark. So don't just give me an example of "well a person said this...." I need to see what they ACTUALLY said to see if it's a "criticism" with snark and they're just being an a hole. So you'll have to forgive me if I'm skeptical about your claim and if I'm skeptical of you're ability to judge "respectful". In short....prove your point.

@@russellesimonetta9071 I disagree. I studied with Joe Morello, and the man was humble yet could blow the doors off most drummers. I've always heard the same about Louie Bellson - a real gentleman. Tommy is too full of himself IMO.

I don't see this as ego, I see this as a man setting up a line, in his house, that won't be allowed to be crossed, without consequences. Spirited debate, and presentation of ones opinions and beliefs is one thing, but antisocial, disrespectful and abusive behavior is grounds for termination from the space, be it a physical structure or an online gathering space. We as people need to do better, and we're the only ones in control of that, but we also get to decide what we will put up with, and allow. A teacher will not allow that in their classroocm, and Tommy owes no one the right to behave in any manner that doesn't align with his principles. I applaud his taking a firm stance in regards to his values. Also, a brilliant drumming genius.

​@@flexabustbergson6141 i don't disagree that he made a valid point in that regard, nor do I condone said "trolling". that being said he, in general, still comes off as an incredibly arrogant, and petty person. He has a well-known reputation in the industy for being difficult to work with and it's not hard to see why many prefer not to work with him. it's no wonder Carter Mclean once said that the only thing he ever learned from Tommy was how not to treat people.
