This was my favourite era for merchandise for Who. The artwork and range of stuff is fab. I had a few of these items as a kid, wish I'd had more!

Wonderful collection. Particularly love the board games - the cover artwork promising much more excitement than the actual contents. So much Dalek related material presumably they were happier to license their image rights.

Stunning collection - great to see it all onscreen at last, well worth the extended running time ! Congratulations to you both. ps That TV Comic William Hartnell sticker photo looks to me like it was taken on the set of Marco Polo.

Wow! An amazing collection. I love the 60s Doctor Who collectibles. Sadly, the furthest back my collection goes is the late 70s (Dennys Fisher toys). The one exception is that I own a copy of the very first Doctor Who annual.

Thanks for this show of memorabilia, absolutely stunning. Happy memories for me. I got the Doctor who give a show projector for Christmas 1965. I remember the advert on the telly. I had a silver and a black plastic Dalek bought for me from Woolworths and was given a Marx silver battery Dalek for my birthday. You have a fantastic collection, I'm very envious. Thanks for the memories.

Mind Blowin array of vintage treasure. I remember In the 1990's Southgate tube station had still had the 1960's Dr Who movie poster in it's billboard display. I 'm sure it's finally been removed now. Lol

Amazing ....I had many of these Dalek toys as a kid in the mid 60s ....and yeah, the Cherilea 'Swappit' Daleks were sold loose in Woolworths no packaging at all and I remember you could just rummage in the glass display case and pick out whichever colour you liked. Also, the 'Swappits' were the only 60s toy that got the shape of the Dalek's skirt section correct i.e. pointed at the front and flat at the back. Nice industrial strength blast of nostalgia video.

Lovley. I like how loads of daleks have a round grill under the front band....that's because on some of the reference images sent were rehearsal pics with a roll of tape stuffed in and some have labels on the domes...again...used in rehearsals to identify daleks for filming.

Great collection . Classic . Priceless . And even more so for the memories . I cringed when the Dalak manage to escape the maze " foolish human do you think you can trap a Dalak" Nice recapture guys. We have enough trouble without a manic Dalak running amok . 😂🤣 . I do remember " My Favorite Martain " ( later a cartoon ) was that the series with Bill Bixby ( The Hulk ) and also (The Magician) ? Love the comics / Mags TV 21. Thank you Jules , George for the show and tell .

Those gorgeous, technicolour Daleks, like the one on the first Dalek Book. In spite, or even because, of their inaccuracies, I think they’re beautiful. So exotic and alien looking. Far removed from the gun-metal grey war machines later Who. There’s one thing I’ve wondered. My understanding is that some of the whimsical errors (the round speaker grill, the lettering on the head) was because the artist was going off rather blurry behind the scenes set photos. But the colour scheme however. I’m guessing they just made that up. Yet, the colours, a blue base, bumps and head, with a shiny metal body and a very distinctive golden mid section. Red ear-lights. That’s almost identical to how the Dalek drones looked in the first Cushing movie. But the book came out in 1964 and the movie in 1965. Is this just coincidence, or did the designers of the movie Daleks base their look on the Dalek Book ones?
@JulesBurt
@JulesBurt Жыл бұрын
Fantastic and yes, more like the movie Daleks than the TV series for sure. Pretty sure the colours were made up at the time but who cares, they all add to the charm of these amazing pieces👍
