This looks like such a relaxing place to spend a few days 😊! I was sold the moment I saw that big window, with lush views of the surrounding trees. I love that idea of a lockbox, to store your smartphone, while replacing it with a basic phone so you can still be reached for emergencies! Thanks Daniel, this video is a great reminder of the importance of unplugging, going out in nature, and slowing down!

That cabin is fantastic, the view is perfect 😍👍, my husband is looking for the perfect piece of land, around 60 minutes drive from our home where we can have a little get away place in nature. He will love this 👍😁

I’ve been using a lockbox for my phone for the past month and it helps out a lot with focus and just paying attention to conversations, great vid, keep up the good work :))

Yes, keep your old inactivated phone, use it for dialing 911, on airplane mode, no emfs. Then just turn off reg phone. Or set a timer, when it rings, times up on phone.

Lovely place, presented in a very nice, calm, well-made video. However, the irony of presenting an off-grid cabin on KZfaq, filmed by (supposedly) your smartphone or camera, is not lost on me alone? Keep up making videos like this, they are a nice change to the rest of the content you make!

I've stayed in several similar places in Canada and the U.S. And I'm short, so I often found myself trying to pole-vault into bed or high-jump to get a plate (sorry, too much Olympic watching last week) .. It must have been interesting with a baby!

I love it, but....I've watched soo many tiny house videos of late. I'm not loving the hardcore, plywood finishes. Don't get me wrong,.I want a detox, peace and back to nature, but I'm not sure I want to feel like I'm staying in a distopian prison. Detrox yes. But lovely luxury as well. 😄 Great digital detox idea..big fan.

Such a lovely video! Would love to visit this place one day! I often wonder what is the optimal sq ft per person? Our family of four lived in 400 sq ft for about four years, and now we just moved into 700 sq ft, personally I wonder if its too big for our family.

We - wife and I - currently live in a 70m2/753ft2 house with a good size garden and find it - we believe - to be the ideal size with everything in proportion I.e living rm, kitchen/dining rm, bathroom, and two double bedrooms all that is missing is a WC. So we just about have everything needed including a spare room for visitors and a garage for storage without the un-nesecesary bills, furniture etc that comes with to large a house.

I like the idea but buy building essentially a second residence it defeats the sustainability argument. The most sustainable argument is not to build anything in the countryside.
