A miracle called Medellín (City for Life)

This video shows the social and urban transformation of Medellin, Colombia´s second largest city. The video was part of the presentation of Anibal Gaviria Correa (mayor of Medellin) at the World Urban Forum 2007. Today, the current and future city project sees Medellin as a city for Life. You can watch it in this video.

I have only been here once for a five-day visit, but I was blown away by the modern infrastructure, vibrancy and hope among everyone I met, and the variety of things to do. This video is such a great demonstration of the great things this city has done. Medellin deserves to be recognized and celebrated for what it's doing for its people's lives. We're looking forward to coming back!

Soy caleño, pero mis respetos a Los Paisas, tienen una chimba de ciudad, ojala las otras grandes ciudades de Colombia tuvieran la misma fortuna de Medellin. Pero lamentablemente con tanto politico corrupto, solo nos toca mirar, opinar y esperar. Vamos Medellin, Dios quiera te cuiden y te traten bien, ya que has demostrado ser una ciudad pujante y emprendedora, despues de haber sufrido tanto en los 80 y 90. All of this ,has already been completed and besides we are building a tunnel from the city to te J.M. Cordoba nternational airport we also have a national airport right in the city .Pretty soon we are starting with the Monorail System as part of the Metro and in order to enable it, to circle around the hills in eastern part of the City ......we are continuosly developing new ideas to transform our City: We have about 5 International Call centers.etc, etc, etc.

El Centro por donde está Estación San Antonio éste años hasta fines del 2015 calles cerradas y congestión porque se está haciendo el proyecto del Tranvía. Pero eso pasará y luego lo disfrutaremos y recordaremos que las incomodidades y molestias fueron necesarias. Porque en Medellín es diciendo y haciendo y tenemos paciencia para acomodarnos a lo que pasa ahora por el Tranvía, como pasó cuando se hizo el único Metro que hay en Colombia. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/edmlq8pkvs_DY6s.html METRO
