This mom certainly proves the point by making her daughter be HER instead of herself, especially since she lost that dream she cherished so much. Usually a parent wants the best for their child and that's why they want them to live their own dream but a good parent never starves their own child nor do they let their child skip a meal if they can help it a parent's number one priority is the good health of their child and safety this mother on this video is a monster and does not love the child and i can see clearly why is simply because she does not love herself she puts the movie above them both and does the unthinkable for it which is deadly wrong no one deserves to go through that

I can't believe how Judy's mother can be so selfish and controlling as she's forcing Judy to follow her dream instead of letting her daughter decided for herself what dream she wants to follow. I mean Judy's mother care more about fame and money instead of thinking about her daughter's feelings or show any concern for her, but she soon see the error of her ways after a visit from the ghost shows what future that has serious conseques to her selfish action if she continue to make Judy suffer. The moral of the story is that family should alway come first before thinking about yourself because there are more important things than fame and money.

The rib removal operation was too unrealistic as no doctor would ever agree to do it and it would be a crime. A better form of destructive behavior (meaning more realistic) would be starving her daughter too much to get her to fit, that could also be fatal so the plot of the spirit warning her of the dangers could still apply.

My class mate's mother is also like this. She doesn't have any aims of a job or career. She is a happy and rich kid. But her mum tortures and forces her to take medicine and makes her study hard. Night or day. She also has a fierce temper and beats her severely if she doesn't understand concept in science in 1 time itself. If she does not get full marks she gets a very harsh beating for a week. But she thinks her mom is just trying to provide a good future for her. She also has no other option as her mom buys whatever fancy product she asks.

It's not so much just the loss of the girls childhood, but the cruelty of next to no food, long unnatural houres of rehearsals, fittings, trips to the beautician and the gym workouts, wearing out the girls body and undermining her health snd in short, putting her in serious danger both healthwise, mentally and spiritually too. That mother is an evil, selfish person, and also badly misguided in her judgementsvand psychologically unsound. Poor littlr girl. What an awful life she was made to live.

No way in hell any hospital would remove a child's ribs just so that a dress designed for a child FOUR YEARS YOUNGER would fit. If I was that doctor I would notify child protective services. The mother in this video should get a prison sentence just for TRYING to do that surgery on her child.

God put in the ribs to protect the lungs and heart. Without the ribs the lungs and heart would be crushed by outside pressure causing death. I think that's what would happen.

@@ameliawarfield5637 In real life there are people (I think its NUTS but people do crazy things) who have JUST the bottom rib removed to be effectively thinner. Thing is those are people under 18 who make the choice and its just ONE rib that might not be fatal. I don't think in real life a parent can CHOOSE a surgery for a child against the child's will unless its life saving and the child will die without it. Some years ago there was a news story on the radio about a Jewish man who tried to force his ten year old son to be circumsized and it went to court and he lost and if I was his son I would refuse to ever have anything to do with my father for the rest of my life and if I had any children he would not be allowed to meet them until they are 18 years old, he would be DEAD to me if he tried to force me against my will to be circumsized. I am circumsized but i was a newborn at the time but by age TEN (this girl was TWELVE) a person has enough free will to say NO to something like that.

If I was a doctor and I saw this girl I'd admit her to the hospital for rehabilitation so that her body can recover its strength and she'll need a feeding tube to get her nutrients that her body is missing

Nice reference use of Scrooge When the child is born into this world there will be a time when the child tells the parent that they want to be this in the future it's a parent's Duty help the child as well as nurture them and to protect them If the child doesn't want to chase after their first dream let them explore new possibilities don't allow your selfish gain of greed or same blind you of what really is important to your child because if you do you will be filled with misery and sorrow in the future

That abusive mother has made a terrible mistake by forcing her daughter to skip meals and snacks and forcing her to exercise long hours a day almost starve herself to death. It's not a healthy thing to do by forcing a young girl to be thin and perfect all the time just for a acting career and forcing her to have surgery to make her more thinner can easily hurt herself and her health. I just hope that mother won't make that mistake again.

If I had a child I'd do everything to make sure that they're healthy in this story the girl was at risk of dying from multiple organ failure or at risk of her organs being unable to delevop properly due to her already tiny body not getting the right nutrition it needs to grow if I was to meet a child like the one in this story I'd put them on a calorific diet so that their body can gain enough weight for their organs can work properly

Thank goodness Judy's mom realizes her antics. She needs to understand her daughter's feelings before casting her to be a character for a movie via strict diet rules & alternating her daughter through a plastic surgery by getting her ribs remove by a plastic surgeon. I hope Judy can continue her education & also enjoy a fullfilling life without getting her childhood being destroyed by anybody.

In DEAD POETS SOCIETY a boy killed himself because he wanted to be an actor and his father tried to force him to be a DOCTOR instead because the father himself had wanted to be a doctor but was unable to afford the expensive training needed so he saved up for many years so that he could pay for his son to be a doctor. He was trying to relive his own life through his son. Ironic that for me this was Kurtwood Smith's role that made me hate him the most and that says a lot since about 2 years earlier he had been the main villain in ROBOCOP

That woman who expressed alarm at 3:08 should have called the police IMMEDIATELY and the doctor who AGREED to do the surgery should be arrested and imprisoned himself and permanently lose his medical license. If I was that child it would be many years if ever before I could fully trust my mother again and I would be on my guard with her no matter how much she changed or how much she tried to make amends. I could get over the forced exercise and starvation stuff but I am sorry even CONSIDERING having a rib removed even if she changed her mind would put a PERMANENT barrier of trust between me and the parent.

There is no doubt that Child Abuse is real and that should not be taken lightly and taken for granted. Parents are supposed to be looking after their children with care and love. But What happen when parents take their Aggression and abuse home with their Children they supposed to Love and care for? Parents who abuse their children For no reason can end up going to Jail for Child Abuse crime and neglect. No doubt no children is safe from Child Abuse from their parents. I know many people will find Child Abuse Difficult, Uncomfortable and Unimaginable to Believe that. That Parents crossing the line and abuse their children for absolute no reason is still a Growing Problem around the world In Countries like Australia 🇦🇺, The United States Of America 🇺🇸, The United Kingdom 🇬🇧 and many others. Let us United and put an end to Child Abuse. The Children deserved better and they have the right to be safe at home with their parents.

Movie makers doesn't care about health whether it is child or adult. I have suffered all along alone. I know how it feels! It's very bad feeling when you doesn't eat your favourite dishes and forced to act unwillingly and happiness is no one's matters, nobody cares.
