This song is so beautiful just listening 2 it makes u cry my son is 2 he is a mummy's boy and I'd love to learn this song just 2 sing it 2 him everyday but in time he will grow up and move on with his life all i can do is guide him in the right direction and hope that i have done right by him I LOVE YOU MY SON:)

I chose this song to dance with my mom at my wedding. I looked at every "top 100" list for mother son dance songs and couldn't find anything I thought was even remotely appropriate or at all captured the sentiment I wanted to convey. This song is so perfect in every way. It's beautiful, it pays tremendous respect to a loving mother who sacrificed so much, and it's just the right length for a wedding dance. Everyone had tears in their eyes.

I rarely comment on Videos but I've listened to this song for years. Reminds my of my mum.. I don't know why. I mean I'm from the UK and she used to sing Daddy Big Boots to be as a baby/kid. Getting married and all that Jazz is meant to be a woman's thing but its all I've wanted. The normal life? Anyway I've been with somebody a few years now whos a lot older than me, she has kids and doesn't want to get married. Shes really an amazing person. Found out recently that my mums cancer is back and terminal which is a huge kick in the balls and for her and everybody else. Scared shitless. Scared that if i do someday have a child (I'm only 25) that shes not going to meet him/her in fact i know she isn't. Its just me living with her. Scared of life after. Just make the most of it with your family, never take anything for granted.

This was our mother/son dance at his wedding. That was in August of 2021, now today he’s turned 29. I can’t believe how time passes so fast. I miss those days of holding hands when walking or the day he came to me and said while hugging me “ Momma, how does it fee?” I said “How does what feel baby?” He said “Being the best mom in the whole wide world?” I said “At this moment, it feels really good.” 😭

My mom passed away many years before I got married and I didn't have any other family left. For my wedding I chose this song to dance to with my friends wife who is alot older than me. Ever since we met she has been like a mother to me. On top of that she lost both her son's within a few years. By us dancing to this song we helped each other that day. The amazing thing is neither one of us cried how we'll never know. This song makes me cry but gives me some great memories at the same time.

I love this song. As a mother I felt it began with my love for my son and all the love and care I gave him. But more importantly I was giving my precious child to his wife and was giving him advice on how to be a good husband. My son and I danced to this song , I was crying , he was crying I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. Life has gotten better since then, they had their first child in their first year of marriage and both of them are such wonderful loving parents. I could not be happier or prouder.

My son picked this song for us to dance to at his wedding on May 5th...This so describes the love that I have for my son and yes, I cried almost the whole time we danced. What a wonderful song!! Happy/sad tears... He, of course, added to the tears by reminding me of so many important parts of his childhood and making me look him in the eyes while we danced...Thank you for another beautiful memory with my son! My mother passed away last month, and I turn 26 today. My biggest heartache in life is that I'll never get to have this dance with her. The hardest thing to do was listen to my grandmother cry her heart out as we buried my mother. Call me selfish but I miss her and love her and want her back.

I hope some day when I'm gone he will sit and listen to this song and know how much I love him and how much I sacrificed to make him happy and to give him the best possible life. I'm a young mother and I was told I would never be able to have kids. My son is getting married March 12, this is our song we will be dancing to for the mother son dance Hope I can do it through the tears. I love my daughter - in -law to be and I love that they love each other. I wouldn't have it any other way, but it doesn't stop the tears from coming.

+Sal from Wyoming My son is getting married March 26 and this song will be our dance song too. I can't stop the tears when I listen to the words. I love my daughter-in=law to be too, but there's that special bond between mother and son. My tears are happy tears that he has found such a great love!

There are times when I miss the boy he was, but I truly am happy with the man he has become. Because I happen to be serving a mission with my husband for our Church I have not met our daughter-in-law to be, but we have skyped and I am very excited to meet her. I am sure I will love her because she is now the love of my son's life!

We had an amazing time. First off my husband and I are actually serving a mission for our Church in the South Pacific Island country of Vanuatu so we had met our daughter- in-law only on Skype. We left here on March 2nd and 24 hours later was in Mesa, AZ on March 2nd thanks to going back across the International Dateline. The young lady was everything I could wish for, for my son. She is doing her student teaching and I am excited that she is working to become a teacher. We spent the next 10 days getting things ready for the wedding, getting to know her and while she was teaching getting some time with my son. It really was a good 2 weeks. Yes there were tears during the mom/son dance but they were happy tears. He is our baby and all his older siblings were there with their children so we saw all our children and grand children after being away for over a year. We are back in Vanuatu for another 9 months, but it was a fun two weeks in the USA.
