very nice, looks simple enough, very peaceful atmosphere yet there is welding, soldering, motoring, and a very tough-looking brushed metal final product. Call it a feminine touch but somehow all this is not intimidating. Cool style, Laura ! Keep on trucking !

If you are having trouble with the solder flowing nicely, need to clean that soldering iron tip. Maybe file it down or even replace it. Plus clean the wires etc. before soldering. The iron looks a bit hot for the work you are doing as well. Regardless of these suggestions, you are doing a great job and the videos are inspirational. Thank you. Regards, Dave Kahlbaum.

I assume that the motor is DC. If you were to have the cable a little over twice the length of the rail then wrap a turn or two around the motor pulley and with a capstan at the far end and the two ends connected to the dolly you could power the dolly in both directions. and if that works you could use the limit switches at each end of the rail to auto reverse the polarity to the motor and it would keep sending it back and forth.:)
