Poke a small hole in the bottom of the oil filter and let it drain before removing it works great on vertical filters. Love your video's.

Dodge really hit it out of the park with the Viper, and they only got better!! They look so fabulous just sitting still. Your under hood CF cross brace really tops off the engine bay appearance nicely. Well worth the cost, and quite functional, too, IMHO.

What I have learned to do with oil filters that are vertical is to use a Solo cup to catch some of the oil that comes out when removing it. All you have to do is slip it over the filter and just unscrew it. You'll be surprised how well that works! 💯👍👍😉

@@woman.driven Absolutely, any time! As a former Service Manager, I have learned many things over the years. The one thing about my person, is that I enjoy teaching others some of my tricks and techniques. I feel that we should help one another out in the automotive industry amongst others. With that being said, you could probably guess what my pet peeve is... Gatekeeping and/or gatekeepers that choose to withhold information. Ive never been able to comprehend what goes through someone's mind when they do that. I am assuming that it may be for their job security? I don't know. As for me, I have decades under my belt when it comes to working on cars and have always enjoyed doing it. Except for the getting all dirty and greasy part.💯😁👍👍

Just take pick and poke a hole the bottom and let the drain into your pan when done draining unscrew the filter done

Doris, also buy yourself a Lisle 3 claw oil filter tool. You can use a box end wrench or 3/8 ratchet.

Yes! It was a very fun experience… but it was way too much car for that short of a track. Plus very little in terms of competition as that car loves to turn and stick to the floor

Awesome 😋 regarding your filter leak if unthreading you can drill a pilot hole in the center or a sharp punch & hole just keep the punch in place till you pull oil catch over

@woman.driven fantastic job on vehicle footage be it upgrades or maintenance 👍 but in the across oil clip at 45 seconds too after the foldable pad it would have been nicer if the cam was a little wider view I think it was perfect at first but you edited that important perk out 😉 otherwise 👌

Everyone needs to take time to unwind on maybe a tropical getaway. In your case, it would cost for the getaway, have someone house-sit, start the cars for 5 min., either take the dogs to a kennel or pay the house sitter to feed and walk them,

I think because its indoor it should be fine but outdoors the internal can develop condensation sludge that can plug up ports that is needed to flow through🤷🏽‍♂️

Use a punch and make a hole in bottle of oil filter, let it drain then easy to change out.

Change the oil, go for a drive, come back and change that new oil and I'll be dark. It has to do with the engines heat cycles. Never judge it by how it looks on a dip stick because it will always look clean do to it being a thin coating on the stick.

I've owned 2 Nissan 300zx (90 & 91 Z32s ) and stupidity sold both of them for peanuts and miss them both! I got an 88 but it needs a lotta TLC so probably sell it too, but my budgets not what it was back then. But I love what you're doing and keep up the awesome work and content! And this will be the last ever Viper generation for Dodge/SRT brand for awhile. With the SUV/Truck sales generating more revenue than sedans/coupes. More and more we see less actual cars on the road sadly. People will see this Viper as a modern classic 10-15 years down the road.
