Bro throw breaking is so weird and jank in this game. Even with some of the fixes, like fixing Victor's dumb throw break window and fixing chain grab unbreakables after power crush, there's still dumb crap like grab break lockout. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some other dumb grab bugs.

It might be that you were hit with a punish throw. If you don't tech the initial throw on punish (during recovery frames of your attack), the whole chain throw is unbreakable. Gelatin covers it in his video on Tekken 8 throws.

it should stay, king is a huge knowledge check of character and making this easier when his throws and damage are so strong seems balanced. you should have to work for your throws on king considering how consistently you can throw them out upon learning them.

@@darwil3317no they should patch this and revert kings grab inputs to legacy inputs, making king not as easy and still requiring knowledge instead of just holding and praying

I mean yeah but even with chain throws if you just pick an option from the start it might eventually be that option

if you’re blue sparking consistently and you’re spacing is on point at higher ranks. there’s still some skill. but most kings are a little mashy in the earlier ranks.

As a King main, the generic face-roll chain is really stupid and gimmicky. Most chains are gimmicky, but that especially. I think the best part about that move is you get a cool slide off your sidestep if you cancel the throw into something else.

I gotta be the only one on earth that has little to no problem with king as much as he's hyped up by the community.

There’s no break “window” anymore, more just like a break timer. Like dog you got almost 3 seconds to hold 1 or 2 respectively to break the last throw of bridge or Rdc

I had a match where I literally broke every single grab a mirror King threw at me just by tapping the button and holding it for literally 1 second. Let that sink in :)

Yeah im a king player and this doesnt seem like a big deal to me at all. Actually gives me a reason to switch up the throw paths at the end of the day they still have to guess right. Also basically means free dragon sleeper if people try to abuse this for rdc lol

it changes things massively... if you hold 1 or 2 for the entire string you will eventually break out, means the Revers stretch and reverse arm slam combo are completely nullified... as they will NEVER get to the end as they alternate between those breaks through the throw combo.

in T7 you can mash inputs to do chain throws as well, and just like now if you input the commands properly you get more damage vs what you get for mashing.@@broWero

All You have to remember is - 1 is always the lowest damage 2 is medium damage 1+2 is the highest damage but is only an option as the 1st, 3rd or 5th break after the throw starts. And don't try to break 1+2 after his df 2+4 or df 1+3 (but if you do, it's not really an issue because the 1st and 3rd break are typically unbreakable)

@@A-B101 The break window is indeed tight. Some breaks are indeed just frames (e.g. standing arm breaker). Guessing right AND landing the correct timing has always been an absurd combination.
