I pray that one day we get an actual Sequel cause this isn't a sequel its a retelling Guess that's what i get for being excited

So Fairy Fencer F FINALLY gets something after roughly 9 years of nothing since Advent Dark Force! But the fact that it's a retelling of the first one does not fill me with hope, a sequel would've been miles better. But maybe it's a test to see if the fan-base does want a sequel after all this time, just like what we got with SvS after 8 years passed since VII.

This throws me back! Been a long time since I went through Advent Dark Force. Looking forward to seeing you play through this.

The technique that you are referring to is called miniature faking (also known as diorama effect or diorama illusion). It's achieved by blurring parts of a photo (typically taken from a high angle) to simulate the shallow depth of field which is common when taking photographs up close. At the start of the battle you can see that the camera is significantly above the battlefield as well as that the bottom and part of the top of the screen are blurred. Regarding the lack of a dub I'll play devil's advocate and point out that because the songs are a major part of the gameplay (to the point where if you don't have them disabled you can actually hear both songs overlap each other during resonance) it makes sense for this game to not have a dub as all songs are (as far as I can tell) in Japanese meaning that you would have to either A. mix English voice acting and Japanese songs at the same time or B. have to translate the song lyrics to English and record them which would be next to impossible if the songs are licensed and even if they aren't doing this would likely inflate the cost of the dub beyond their budget since they would need a voice actor who can also sing which is not a given. If you look at IF's previous games that lacked dubs (which represent the minority of their catalogue) there was always a reason for it with most such titles being crossover games. It's not like Koei Tecmo who dropped dubs in Atelier games seemingly without a good reason (except for minimizing localisation costs).

Oh look, I'm not sure if they announced the release date and I forgor or I just never noticed, but apparently the time has come. Yeah I'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong this time. I feel like there's other games that I'm forgetting, though this year, hajimari/reverie at some point "soon"(?) (it might have a confirmed released date already but eh), and I'm pretty sure disgaea 7 is also supposed to be sometime this year or something.

I as looking forward to a sec one the last one open up huge possible stories they could've went with like that secret organisation. But ones I saw what the battle system is I have no interest I hate strategy games apart from South park
