I had a cleaning business for 25 years. We always dumped the water down the utility sink, if the customer had one. We would never put the water down toilets we just cleaned! If no utility sink, we would dump the water outside. Kim's Cleaning Service is doing it correctly!🎉🎉

@@reniehandler2595 Yes! Kim's Cleaning Service for the win! ❤ And if we wanted to get deeper, toilets are cleaned way before you wash the floors. You work your way down. So dirty floor water is the last thing you want splashing around that shiny clean toilet. We want our customers to come home to sparkling clean. The utility tub ( I used to call the laundry room "my office" lol) and laundry room is the very last thing you clean because it was your dumping ground during the whole house clean.

Personally I would much rather put dirty water down the toilet I'd clean it last or flush quickly after.
@rosalitamarie8836

@@dee4716 The toilet gets flushed to to the same area the sinks drain. Do you clean raw meats & fish in your sinks? It;s all about the sanitation of the sink afterwards. Just cleaning your own home doesn't make you a "pro". I did this back breaking work for over 25 years , thousands of times cleaned floors, toilets (over 40 hours a week). It works for you, that's great.

Kim, I was/am a stay at home mom of 3. (empty nester now) But I scheduled 1 day a month that was circled on the calendar so everyone could see! That was my day off. I got to sleep in, no cooking, no laundry, No carpooling, no extra kids over. Everyone knew and I could always point to the day on the calendar if they asked anything of me! Of course hubby had to help. But it was so needed!

However, your architect and contractor should be soooo ashamed of themselves, all of those details that they missed is absurd, especially since that's why you have them, to make sure these things don't slip through the cracks. So when you drink coffee or an energy drink or soda, that surge of energy you get is you running through your energy faster and that’s why you crash. But you only get energy from food. Water and rest help your cells recover so you can utilize those energy reserves

I used to clean houses full time. I would either throw the water outside or down the toilet, carefully (then I just wiped the toilet one final time). I started out using the utility sink, but cleaned for a plumber and over time the trap can fill up with sand/dirt from scrubbing the floors, so I changed the location of my disposal of water from then on. Now, I’m a stay at home mama (cleaning very parttime for others nowadays) who also dumps my own water either down the toilet or outside at home.

I think nursing makes nights easier and I get more sleep. I have a teething 18 months old who gets sick every other week (he goes to day care) and I nurse him all the time when his sick... I don’t mean to be disrespectful or anything but a 16 month old doesn’t need to nurse at all at night unless he or she is extremely underweight. It sounds like possibly you are co sleeping and every time you move he wakes up to nurse so neither you nor baby are getting good sleep. It can really effect the baby’s mood and well being to be sleep deprived just like you. Maybe it’s time to introduce him or her to their own bed in another room and see if they sleep better. It’s something you do slowly and patiently and eventually you both will get better sleep.

We renovated our old house before selling it, and then built a new house. And let me just say, nothing anyone says can prepare you for just how stressful, time consuming, and expensive the whole process is. I feel your frustrations in my very core. So so so glad to be done with that chapter of my life. Now we get to see our kids grow up in our nice new house, and it feels worth it. We just try to ignore the little mistakes around the place, and be grateful for what went right.

The reason for dumping liquids with solids (like mop water) down the toilet instead of the sink is due to the difference in drain size. The toilet has a much larger drain size than a sink, which means the liquid goes through the pipe faster, making it less likely for sediment to build up and block up the drain. Not sure if a utility sink is the same size drain as a regular sink though. At the end of the day though, if you haven't noticed your utility sink backing up often and needing to be cleared, then it's probably fine. You do you. 👍

I live in Ohio and I'm actually irritated that we only got one (maybe 2) days of snow this winter. With the exception of children I'm probably the ONLY person that gets irritated about that lol. Our winters here have changed drastically since I was younger and are nothing like they used to be. I feel like that's one of the reasons to live in the north is to have all of the seasons, but lately we really don't have winters anymore, and to me that's sad lol.

I would just accept it and it's going to be like an insane amount of money like you have the extra space I mean aesthetically maybe it's not the look you were going for but the fact that you have more room for that bus line household full of beautiful babies is good. Also I totally think like a hidden door would be really fun there because it would be like the kids have some secret passageway and being a kid like that would just make it more exciting for them.

Wolfgang is getting so big!😢❤ He is not only adorable! But a great little helper! My fav subject in school was history. I also loved reading encyclopedias! My grand kids would benefit greatly with IXL!

Caffeine is similar to pain relievers. Tylenol doesn’t get rid of your pain, it just blocks the receptors so you can’t feel it.

Hang in there, Kim. I know it’s exhausting having littles, but it really goes by so fast. I’m praying for you and thank you for sharing your life with us…you are so amazing. ❤️🙏🏻

I'm catching up a little today so you're probably already way past the door issue, but just in case you aren't, you could put a pocket door there so you can have it completely open. It would just slide into the side wall and be hidden

Oh yes! Always make sure you get enough sleep. My mom was hospitalized recently for hallucinations and OCD type tendencies. She had not been sleeping very much, due to stress. I always drink water when I wake up. I do not like coffe.

I have never used IXL but I have heard good things about it. We homeschool so I'm going to look into it. My favorite subject in school was language arts.

I feel you on the sleep. I have insomnia and take 7 sleeping pills nightly but I still have trouble sleeping. I get really bad insomnia flair ups especially during times of stress and I haven't been sleeping. So now I'm sick because my body is so run down. I am a 100% with you on sleep issues. You're tired all day and when you finally get to bed, your mind wont stop. My doctors say to ride it out, eventually my body will cave and sleep. Time has proven that is untrue though. I just get sick and hallucinate lol.

I am always amazed at how different people are. Not good/bad...just different. I literally have anxiety when I see you just "dump" all the laundry into one load. I wish I could be that laid back.

Just started homeschooling our 3 year old this year, would love ixl as an additional resource! My favorite subject was always English, I’m really hoping hers can be math or science where I struggled the most. I don’t have instagram, but followed IXL here on KZfaq ❤ Also, get the jacuzzi Kim, say YES! You deserve it haha.

I love the murphy door idea. That would be so cool! The IXL would be such a blessing for my homeschooled grands. And goodness, I've been out of school for who knows how many years, but I'm going to say my favorite subject was English. I really like geometry too!

Dear Kim, your life is exhausting to watch, cannot imagine living it😂 (trolls: You CAN be grateful for your blessings AND still be exhausted) I hope your family and friends can help support you a little bit. Tell the moms and their kids to have a great time, but don't trash your house. It always shocks us how it is totally trashed. Messy is one thing, but its so over the top. I would be mortified if my kids visited somewhere and behaved that way. Much love and support!

Kim, you are amazing and I’m not sure how you do it and stay sane. I’m 70 and tired. I cannot clean the house in one day. It takes me up to three days to get it done. Oh well, it is what it is.

I also understand the sleep issue. My almost 10 month old still hasn’t slept through the night. My first was sleeping through the night regularly by 6 months I’m pretty sure. I’m convinced it’s because he’s just hitting milestone after milestone since 3 months so it’s a never ending regression. And I’ve had a dakboard for years and love it! I have a whole weather section with radar on ours cuz we’re weather nerds. lol. We have ours mounted on the wall so it’s not on any counters.

Love the addition! I hope it's finished soon and you can move in. It'll be so nice! My great grandson is almost two and loved pushing the water thing on the refrigerator. He just left it run on the floor. I had to lock it when he was at my house. My favorite subject was science. 😊

Oh my lanta I'd be fuming!!! My husband ALONE could have had it done in 1 year doing just evenings and weekends! We did an addition as well and renovated our exsisting house and had limited help. We finished it in 9ish months doing only evenings and Saturdays because he still worked a full time job from 7:30-4:30!!!! Then came home and worked till like 9pm. And we had to do it in 3 stages because we were living in our house while doing the renos!! It blows my mind that it has taken your contractors 2 YEARS!!! 🤯 I mean our house isnt as big as yours but still! Im literally speechless! 😲😵
